If your ideal conference room camera in your mind is one you connect and forget, look no further than the Logitech C922X Pro. It has a few limitations, like outputting in 720p during live video calls, but that’s not a huge bother. Most importantly, the FOV is wide enough to capture you and perhaps a buddy. It could serve as the finest vlogging camera, but you may be looking for something a little more high quality.

Why We Like It – Logitech C922X Pro

For those who need a webcam for a conference to set up and forget, the Logitech C922X Pro has you covered: 720p live video resolution, fair FOV, built-in mic, and plugs right in with no fuss.

Type, Lens, Size & Weight

The Logitech C922X Pro uses a glass lens to cover the 78 degrees of FOV it has. That’s fairly wide, capable of capturing two people. As far as weight and size are concerned, it’s pretty small; its dimensions are 2.80 x 1.71 x 3.74 inches, and weighs 5.75 oz. You can safely fit that in your pocket. It could be considered a fine compact camera, although, for a truly compact device, you may want to read our Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II.

Resolution & Display

When it comes to recording, you get the best video quality possible: 1080p, at 30fps. Image quality does drop during video calls to 720p, but increases FPS to 60, which is marginally better than the Logitech C270. However, the picture quality is superb across each resolution, largely thanks to its low light correction. Even with a single lamp, dark shadows are rarely a problem. You might like our Crosstour Action Camera review, as the device records just as well. For another unique experience, check out our Encore Cinema Binoculars review.

Tripod & Image Stability

To create stability, the Logitech C922X Pro uses a clip-on design. For the most part, it keeps the image stable, but over time may loosen depending on how stable your workspace is. That’s less of an issue when using a tripod.

Optical Zoom, Microphone, Audio & Storage

The Logitech C922 Pro Stream Webcam can zoom through Logitech’s software, if you choose, but can largely be ignored. The Logitech Brio does it naturally, up to 5x. It doesn’t have any internal storage, sadly. Even worse, the audio quality is subpar at best. It tends to pick up a noticeable level of static.

Value

As far as visual quality is concerned, the Logitech C922X Pro is a great webcam. But audio? Not so much. Not even background replacement features can make up for it. However, if you’re dead set on getting the C922X Pro, consider getting the bundle with a Blue Yeti mic. It makes up for its shortcomings; otherwise, get Logitech C925E Webcam.

Logitech C922X Pro Wrap Up

It’s hard to justify grabbing the Logitech C922X Pro without thinking of audio quality, too. But if you already have an external mic, you’ll still enjoy its superb quality across each resolution. In fact, its light correction is some of the cleanest. For video recording though, it’s a tantalizing offer.
