For those seeking a webcam that has just a little more than good video and audio quality, perhaps something for streaming, one of the best webcams for the job is the HZQDLN 1080p HD Webcam. As the name suggests, 1080p is part of the package, but under the hood is a wide angle and video compression—a necessary feature for streamers. If you want the latest tech, you should also take a look at this GPS tagging device, for any camera with a hot shoe.

Why We Like It – HZQDLN 1080p HD Webcam Review

With 1080p video resolution, the HZQDLN Webcam is already a good choice for the average user—but H.264 compression makes it ideal for streamers on a budget.

Pros
  • Shoots in 1080p Full HD video quality
  • Very wide angle
  • Good choice for streamers
Cons
  • Fixed focus
  • Lack of brand recognition

Performance

The HZQDLN 1080p HD Pro Webcam perform admirably—especially up against giants such as the Logitech C930e. In fact, the full HD webcam features a much wider viewing angle than the C930e; where the C930e has a 90-degree viewing angle, the HZQDLN has 110-degrees, the widest yet on our list of best web cameras. Video quality was rather crisp for such a cheap webcam; color was really good—even in low light environments.

What we liked most was its H.264 compression. It’s lost on video calling (unless you’re recording), but for a streamer who saves their videos, quality is preserved while keeping the file size much lower.

Design

The HZQDLN 1080p HD Webcam comes packaged with features other webcams in its bracket are missing. For example, the HZQDLN Webcam comes with a webcam cover, a feature the Anivia 1080p HD Webcam lacks. Furthermore, its clip can be placed on most computer screens and laptops. And if it doesn’t? Use the tripod—a feature the AUKEY PC-LM1 Webcam lacks.

The HZQDLN 1080p HD Webcam is also really easy to use. Plug it into a Windows PC or MacOS and you’re good to go. It’ll even adjust color and brightness based on surrounding light automatically.

Value

What hurts the HZQDLN 1080p HD Webcam the most is its lack of brand recognition. For example, when viewing the Logitech C930e, you know you’re buying from a trusted brand because Logitech is a household name. You don’t get that front HZQDLN. With that said, the majority of customer reviews are positive—and we agree. HZQDLN might not be a well-known name, but its product went toe-to-toe with the Logitech C930e, and at a better price. And to sweeten the deal, you get free shipping, though lack of Amazon Prime isn’t available.

HZQDLN 1080p HD Webcam Review Wrap Up

We were definitely surprised by the HZQDLN 1080p HD Webcam. It packs a punch with its wide angle and 1080p video. And with video compression, it’s perfect for streamers. Its fixed focus is easy to adjust, thanks to its design, while its lack of brand recognition can only be fixed by using the device, which we wholeheartedly recommend.
