Looking to capture an entire conference room? The Huddly Go Video Conferencing Camera might literally be the best webcam for conference room. After all, what other webcam has an FOV of 150 degrees? Capture the smiles of everyone there, and maybe zoom in with lossless 4x to catch anyone snoring during your presentation.

Why We Like It – Huddly Go Video Conferencing Camera

For taking up large swathes, the Huddly Go Video Conferencing Camera is your go-to for capturing an entire room, thanks to its ultra-wide 150-degree field of view and lossless zoom.

Pros
  • Automatically flips image no matter your setup
  • Ultra wide angle lens; 150-degree FOV
  • 4x lossless zoom
Cons
  • Limited to 720p
  • Lacks a built-in microphone

Type, Lens, Size & Weight

This webcam manages to capture 150-degrees, twice that of the Logitech C922X Pro. With such a wide-angle lens, the Huddly Go Video Conference Camera is perfect for meeting rooms small huddle rooms medium open collaboration spaces and more. What’s more surprising is its size: just 4.1 oz and dimensions of 2.83 x 1.57 x 1.34 inches. That’s one of the smallest webcams among our entries.

Resolution & Display

Despite an extra-wide lens, the resolution is capped at 720p and 30fps. We were really expecting high quality resolution, given its price, but it isn’t quite here. To be fair, 720p is still solid. It isn’t anything fancy, but it’ll capture plenty of detail, even when taking in the entire room.

Tripod & Image Stability

The clip-on design is usually what holds the camera in place. What’s nice is that it will flip the image if you happen to clip the webcam to the bottom of a screen, which would normally show the image upside-down. Not so with the Huddly Go Video Conferencing Camera.

Optical Zoom, Microphone, Audio & Storage

Yes, the Huddly Go Compact Wide Angle Software Enhanced Video Collaboration Camera does zoom; in fact, it has lossless HD 4x zoom! It lacks any internal storage, however. More importantly, it doesn’t have a built-in microphone. The Logitech C925E Webcam has great audio quality though.

Value

The value of the Huddly Go Video Conferencing Camera goes beyond its feature and includes Huddly’s Vision Software, where you’ll get to snag any future updates. That’s not a bad gig—but the pricing isn’t. Dropping $300, no matter its FOV, is pretty heavy. You’re better off going with a Logitech Brio; it’s 4K with three FOV options.

Huddly Go Video Conferencing Camera Wrap Up

In order to justify the Huddly Go Video Conferencing Camera, you’d need the setting for it; otherwise its 150-degree FOV is wasted. It’s really built to capture a large swath rather than a single person, so personal use isn’t ideal. With that said, if you do have an entire conference room to cover, we can’t think of anything better.
