Performance

The Logitech C930e recorded in clear 1080p, with a very wide 90 degree field; it can capture quite a bit with its wide field. Photos and videos weren’t just clear, they were sharp, with coloring coming out pretty well—especially in low light environments. On a side note, we weren’t expecting 4x digital zoom; a nice touch.

What the Logitech C930e did, slightly more than its video quality, was audio quality. While a dedicated microphone would, admittedly, be better—its two omnidirectional microphones captured sound far better than a laptop’s built-in mic would. Clarity was improved even further with built-in noise cancellation.

Design

Rather than clamp a webcam to your monitor (and avoid squeezing the screen), the Logitech C930e rests safely along the top of your monitor and or laptop screen. At the same time, its rotatable clip can be folded to rest on a tripod or on your desk. And with how tiny it is, measuring 3.70 x 3.70 x 0.95 inches, it is very easily one of the most portable webcams available, just like the Vitade 960 1080p Webcam. Unlike the Anivia 1080p HD Webcam, this Logitech camera is built with far higher quality materials.

Value

It’s true that the Logitech C930e Webcam is more on the expensive side. Given its high quality performance, and overall better build quality than the Anivia 1080p HD Webcam, it’s well-worth the price. This is especially true when you set it up for video conferencing. And should you use it outside of that for, say, streaming, its H.264 video compression preserves the 1080p quality while only taking up half the space on your harddrive. If you’re searching for an near equally performing webcam for a lower price, perhaps the AUKEY PC-LM1 Webcam is of interest.

Logitech C930e 1080p Wrap Up

The Logitech C930e has been one of the best—if not the best—webcam on our list. Whether you’re looking for a video conferencing webcam or a companion for streaming, the Logitech Webcam C930e is ready for either or, given that it’s built with two omnidirectional mics and captures in 1080p. You pay a pretty penny, but get a lot in return.
