Type, Lens, Size & Weight
The Aukey PC LM1 is fairly tiny; its dimensions are 4.09 x 1.18 x 1.97 inches and weighs no more than 3 oz. It uses a prime lens type, so the focal length is fixed. Not a bad choice if you tend to move around often. Compared to the Logitech C270 Widescreen HD Webcam, it’s incredibly small.
Resolution & Display
It’s always a treat to see an affordable webcam provide great video quality at an affordable price, and the Aukey FHD Webcam manages to do just that. The two major players here are: light correction and 1080p resolution. Even under poor low lighting, it adjusts accordingly, especially when paired with whiter lights. The more expensive Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 drops down to 720p during video calls.
Tripod & Image Stability
To keep the Aukey FHD Webcam steady, it uses a clip-on design. This can be fastened to your laptop or flat screen computer monitors. If not, then fold the stand and place it on flat surfaces or attach it to a tripod.

Optical Zoom, Microphone, Audio & Storage
Lacking zoom and storage, the Aukey FHD Webcam makes up for it through its surprisingly good sound quality. This is obviously due to having two microphones on either side, picking up audio clearer than a single mic would. It’s good to see a webcam considering sound quality instead of just visual.
Value
While a few features are missing—like auto-focus and video compression—they can largely be ignored. Video compression is good for live streaming, but shouldn’t be a dealbreaker. And focus is done manually; a bit of fiddling and it’ll be ready. Even considering its negatives, the Aukey FHD Webcam still manages to impress us with its performance when compared with the Logitech HD Webcam C525, which is $20 more.

If you take a bet on the Aukey FHD Webcam, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a fantastic workhorse for its price: great 1080p video quality, surprisingly good sound quality, and its pricing is so easy on your wallet. Its lack of auto-focus and video compression just wasn’t enough to move the needle all that much.
