Image Quality

The Ausdom HD Webcam captures an impressive 12MP which is quite high for a webcam and on par with the iPhone 11. It records and streams video at 1920×1080 and in full HD at 30FPS. So whether you’re streaming yourself playing a game or in a zoom meeting, whoever is watching you is seeing you clearly. If you want better FPS and don’t mind sacrificing some resolution, take a look at the Razer Kiyo Webcam.

Ease of Use

The Ausdom Webcam is compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Mac 10.6 and above, Chrome OS, and Android v5.0 and above. It’s very likely that if you do decide to purchase this webcam, you’ll likely have an operating system that can handle it. The webcam, like the Logitech C922X Pro Stream Webcam, also comes with autofocus and low light correction so you can focus on your streaming instead of fiddling with the camera.

Battery Life

It’s hard to estimate the life cycle of a lithium ion battery because of the many factors involved. But generally, they last two to three years or for 300 to 500 cycle charges. Whichever comes first. But by the time it does run out, you’ll probably have more than enough money to buy a new webcam. And considering the timeline of electronics they will have made some great advancements by then.

Durability

The Ausdom Webcam, in comparison to the Logitech C930E, can rotate at 360 degrees, which is fantastic, but has limited up and down mobility in comparison to the Logitech, so it’s more of a trade-off than anything else. The mounting hardware is good and adheres to your monitor well, and the build quality is solid with the Ausdom Webcam feeling resistant to damage.

Value

The Ausdom features holes for universal tripod mounts if you need to use the camera for more professional purposes. The microphone is clear and eliminates background noise and buzz well. Your voice will come off a smidge quieter and less bassy, but your voice will be clear. However, the webcam is prone to glare making lighting a bit harder than it should be.

Ausdom Webcam Wrap Up

If you’re looking for a replacement for the dominant Logitech webcams, you’ll find Ausdom 640 webcams to be a fantastic alternative. But while the Ausdom webcams perform better in certain areas they lag behind in others. Thus, you won’t be trading up, but rather just moving to the side. But if the Ausdom Webcam’s better features are what you seek, then go for it!
