The HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227FDW all in one printer is pretty good for most use cases. It’s a fast laser printer that performs well under almost all workloads. And on top of that, it has pretty much all of the wireless network pairing options available for seamless mobile printing.

Speed
On the LaserJet Pro MFP M227FDW HP provides almost 30 ISO PPM print speed when the black toner is in use. And it’s a monochrome printer anyway, so you’re guaranteed to get that kind of speed pretty much always. Still, if you need just a tad bit higher print speed, you can also go for the Brother HL-L2350DW laser printer.

Print Quality
It’s a multifunction printer, so the print quality is relatively good for what it is. Other than that, the HP LaserJet Pro M227FDW also supports auto duplex printing. And if you use original HP black toner cartridges, you’re going to get a very high yield out of them. So, you should always use original HP toner cartridges for best results.
Efficiency
It’s very power-hungry, so it’s not really great in terms of efficiency in all three sectors (Print Scan Copy). You need an inkjet printer (something like the Epson WorkForce WF-7210 Wireless printer) for that. But once again, it’s fairly efficient in terms of toner cartridge usage. As we mentioned before, it does provide a high yield out of the cartridges.
Advanced Features
It has both Wi-Fi and NFC, so you can easily pair your mobile device and print using the HP Smart app. Also, it supports both Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print, so you do get full functionality regardless of your mobile OS. The Brother MFC-L3770CDW Laser Printer is also another printer that has similar features at the same price point.
Value
Now, this is a section that ultimately depends on where you’re buying it from. It’s over three years old at this point, and HP most likely has discontinued it in the United States. If you can find it at a reasonable price, you should most definitely opt for this printer.
