Speed
The Brother MFC J805 is actually quite fast. On average, you can expect around 10 seconds per page when it comes to color pages. And it takes half that time to print out monochrome prints. Granted, color printing will be a bit slow, but it’s decent enough. Get the HP OfficeJet 6978 Wireless Printer for faster operation.
Print Quality
Overall the print quality is fairly decent on this printer. It’s at least good enough for photo printing. And it’s not named “ Brother MFC J805DW INKvestment Tank” printer for no reason. It does have the Brother INKvestment tank ink system built-in. And you get excellent results, especially when you use Brother genuine tank cartridges. When it comes to the optical scanner, you can select up to 2400 x 1200 DPI from the flatbed and up to 1200 x 600 DPI from the automatic document feeder itself. But, if you need higher print quality, you have to spend more money on the Canon PIXMA G5020 MegaTank Inkjet Printer.
Efficiency
First things first, it’s a recently launched inkjet printer. So it’s extremely efficient when it comes to power consumption. Also, you’ll be hard-pressed to find something that can compete with it in terms of ink efficiency in this price bracket. The ink toner included in the box lasts up to one year (150 pages per month). And with Brother genuine ink cartridges, you can get some incredibly high yield. For super high yield go with the following ink cartridges: LC3033BK, LC3033C, LC3033M, and LC3033Y (black ink); and for ultra high yield you can get the following ink cartridges: LC3035BK, LC3035C, LC3035M, and LC3035Y.
Advanced Features
It is a wireless printer, so it has multiple wireless network connectivity options, including WiFi. It is also compatible with Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print. And on top of that, if you have cloud services or cloud storage, you can seamlessly connect your account to print content from there. The paper tray can hold up to 8.5 x 14 inches of paper sheets.
Value
