Speed
For a printer that comes at just $200, it’s very fast. On the highest print quality settings, you can get about 20 PPM (black ink) and 10 PPM (color ink). Then, if you compensate the settings a bit, you can increase that speed to about 25 ISO PPM (black ink). And on the lowest quality and DPI settings, this printer can print pages at a blazing fast speed of up to 49 PPM (once again, black ink). And the speed doesn’t decrease depending on the type of paper or media you print on. That’s why it’s the best printer for cardstock papers as well at $200.
Print Quality
The print quality is decent on the OfficeJet Pro 8035. But then again, you should temper your expectations considering the price. You’re not going to get Canon PIXMA G5020 MegaTank Inkjet Printer level of print quality, but what you do get is perfectly usable for a home office or even for high-quality photo printing.
Efficiency
Now we are going to talk about one of, if not the best aspect of this printer, its ink efficiency. The black ink cartridge this printer uses is the 910 xl from HP. And the color ink cartridge (Cyan Magenta Yellow) it uses is a normal model 910 from HP. Now, these are already ultra high yield ink cartridges. If you print 100 pages per month on average, these ink cartridges should last at least six months. So, even if you opt-in for the free HP Instant Ink subscription service you get for free with this printer for eight months, you might just end up needing to replace your ink and take advantage of that offer only once. The Brother MFC-J805 provides similar ink efficiency at the same price.
Advanced Features
Self-healing Wi Fi is quite an incredible feature, to begin with. Not everyone is going to have a full Wi Fi range to their home office. On cheap wireless printers, the Wi Fi modules inside are usually garbage and don’t stay connected properly. Self-healing WiFi goes through three steps to make sure that the printer always stays connected. Having support for both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa for voice printing is a big plus point too. And on top of that, the HP Smart Tasks app helps users a lot to manage their files for a clutter-free printing experience.

Granted, HP has some shady anti-consumer business practices where they can outright shut down/brick your printer if you don’t use their ink after taking the free eight months offer.
