The Philips Momentum 436M6VBPAB is of excellent quality with an impressive set, including a 4K resolution, a large 43-inch display, and built-in speakers that sound surprisingly good, thanks to DTS sound enhancement. We also loved the innovative and proprietary MultiView feature, which lets the display split up into four different screens, each with their own view for the purposes of multitasking.
All of these high-end features do have a cost, however, as this is one of the pricier HDR gaming monitors on the market currently. Additionally, the refresh rate and response speed take a slight hit due to resolution and HDR10 integration. But this is still one of the best gaming monitors we have today.

The BenQ EX3501R is one of the best ultrawide gaming monitors on the market, thanks to some seriously impressive specs, including a 100Hz rapid refresh rate and full integration with AMD Radeon Freesync. The curved design and 35-inch width allow for some serious immersion, with a 21:9 aspect ratio. We also loved the built-in cable management loop and the fact that there is a USB-C port, for one cable connectivity. It could be one of the best monitors for Xbox One X that you can buy now.
Though the stand is ergonomically designed and does feature that cable management loop, it is only adjustable via height and tilt, and not swivel or pivot. Also, the response time here is 4ms, despite the 100Hz refresh rate. You probably should compare this ultrawide model with some of the best ultrawide gaming monitors that feature large curved displays, as well as high resolutions and refresh rates of up to 200Hz.

Additionally, the integrated speakers are not that powerful and, as a result, produce something of a lackluster sound. This Newsoul portable gaming monitor makes a great centerpiece for a remote gaming room, thanks to speedy USB-C connectivity and the inclusion of PU leather carrying case and a screen protector. There are some high-end features here too, such as a low blue light filter to reduce eye fatigue and a pair of dual stereo speakers that sound pretty decent, despite their ultra-small size.
We admit the 15.6 display size may not be for everyone and very few will make this their main gaming monitor, but it cannot be beaten for gaming on-the-go. Also, this is a 1080p monitor, and not 4K, which may not suit all consumers. But it is still one of the best 1080p gaming monitor.
How We Decided
To help narrow down to the above list, we made sure that each monitor on the above list was HDR-capable, often allowing for the newer high dynamic range HDR10 technology. Gaming-forward specs, such as refresh rates and response times, were also incredibly important as we went about conducting our research.
We made sure to include a nice mix of curved and flat panels, to suit a variety of different tastes and viewing angle preferences, and we liked displays that featured built-in integration with either AMD Radeon FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync enabled graphics cards, so as to provide for a lag and stutter-free gaming experience. Integrated blue light filters, to help reduce visual fatigue due to prolonged use, were also much sought after.
Monitors that were highly adjustable along a variety of metrics, including tilt and swivel, were awarded bonus points, as were displays that featured built-in and usable speakers. Finally, we took a long look at the ports available with each of the above monitors, ensuring they had, at the bare minimum, an HDMI port, and a DisplayPort.

The Most Important Features to Consider

Make sure to purchase a monitor that is built from the ground up for gaming. As such, look for gaming-forward specs, such as a refresh rate of around 144Hz and a response time of 1ms or 2ms, to reduce lag. You will also want to make sure the display plays nice with Nvidia G-Sync or FreeSync and that there is some tech onboard to reduce visual fatigue. You may also want to ensure the monitor looks great from any viewing angle, with a decent contrast ratio to match. - Adjustability and Mounting
