When dealing in the workfield of graphic design, a professional monitor is not only wanted but expected by everyone in the workforce. The Asus ProArt PA329Q comes with a rapid response time with flicker-free tech and blue light filters to ensure that you work to the best of your ability. For that reason and more, the ProArt earns a spot on our lists for the best monitor for graphic design, best photo editing monitor, and also best computer monitors.

Why We Like It – Asus ProArt PA329Q

The ASUS PA329Q features tools that maximize productivity while also keeping eye strain to a minimum. Featuring 4K resolution, you’ll be able to see every detail with a bit of fine-tuning. Just as you would with a popular BenQ monitor, which you can read about in our BenQ EW3270U PS4 Pro review.

Pros
  • Beautiful 4K resolution
  • HDMI 2.0 brings the best picture possible
  • ASUS EyeCare optimizes productivity
Cons
  • Brightness isn’t uniform
  • Calibration doesn’t work all the time.

Performance

Whether it’s graphic design or video editing, the Asus ProArt PA329Q is a powerhouse that delivers a phenomenal performance with neither lag nor flicker. The display comes with a refresh rate of 60hz, while not the best for someone looking for a gaming monitor, this is perfect for those who are looking for a monitor for video or photo editing. It helps that the ProArt comes with a 99.5% Adobe RGB rating, so that colors are vibrant and stand out. For those looking for a monitor with more than 60hz, the Acer CB282K is highly recommended.

Viewing Angle

In terms of visibility, the Asus ProArt PA329Q offers a fantastic viewing experience. Featuring a 178-degree viewing angle on both the left and right side of the screen, no matter where you look the PA329Q will show you the best that it has to offer. With a practically bezel-less screen, nothing will get in the way between your work and the monitor, save for the occasional brightness issues. A small but annoying effect the monitor suffers is that it seems the panel isn’t lit equally, as some spots seem brighter than others. If this is a dealbreaker, then we recommend the LG 27UD68-W.

Durability

A concern to be had about the Asus ProArt PA329Q is that it features no VESA support. So for those looking for a monitor to mount on their wall, we recommend the Iiyama Acer B246WL. However, if this isn’t a concern for you, the stand itself is rather excellent. Fully able to support the weight of the monitor, and can have the tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjusted to the user’s whim. While unable to be a vertical monitor, the Asus ProArt PA329Q’s stand still offers plenty of versatility.

Ports/Expandability

The Asus ProArt PA329Q features a Mini DisplayPort, mini DisplayPort, four HDMI ports, five USB ports, and an SD card reader. This is a phenomenal port selection, it will be a rarity for consumers to need a connection.

Value

The Asus ProArt PA329Q is an expensive monitor, there’s no getting around that. While not targeted for the common target demographic, for those who need it the monitor comes packed with features like a self-calibrating program. However, the fact that it often doesn’t work puts to question the rest of the quality of the other programs.

Asus ProArt PA329Q Wrap Up

A professional monitor for professional workers, the Asus ProArt PA329Q packs a punch price-wise, but makes up for it with 4K resolution, offering HDMI 2.0 for the best picture quality, and ASUS eye care to maximize productivity. While the screen might not be equally lit, this is still a powerful monitor that anyone in the graphic design field should consider.
