Performance
Working on the LG 24WK95U is a pleasure since, unlike the 24-inch Acer R240HY, the widescreen size allows you to have multiple apps or tabs open at once. Black and white colors appear well balanced due to the 1000:1 contrast ratio, and its input lag of 9ms remains acceptable as low enough for fast-paced gaming. At a response time of 5ms, the monitor doesn’t exhibit any ghosting, but being an IPS panel, there is some measure of IPS glow, though negligible.

Design
Compared to the HP VH240a, the LG 24WK95U’s design doesn’t have too many highlights, save for the curved metallic stand. The monitor does have a great build quality and is meant to last you a long time after purchase. The display can’t be rotated between portrait and landscape mode, but its height can be adjusted to match your viewing level. In terms of connectivity, the IPS panel offers 2 HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port and 3 USB ports.

Value
The LG 34WK95U’s Nano IPS technology does it well since it offers better viewing angles than what you’d get from an ordinary IPS panel. This, coupled with a crisp native 5K2K resolution allows for high-res content viewing. The monitor offers amazing long-term value since it comes packed with the latest connectivity, and unlike the LG 34UM69G-B, it comes with HDR10 support for an unrivaled viewing experience.

The top range LG 34WK95U does a lot to set the standard in what an UltraWide display should offer, but its lack of AMD FreeSync technology and standard refresh rate do little to encourage gamers to purchase. Basics such as Flicker Free technology are also missing, but when all is said and done, the LG 34WK95U remains an award-winning monitor that any professional should consider when upgrading their workspace.
