Weber is a name that is synonymous with best grills, and if you’re looking for the best natural gas grills from Weber, the Q3200 should be on your list of considerations. It has a generous warranty, and the porcelain-coated grill grates make for even grilling and easy clean-up.

Why We Like It – Weber Q3200

Weber Q3200 Natural Gas Grills are great grills that can handle light to medium cooking thanks to its powerful burners that can sear meat to perfection and a large enough cooking space to feed a hungry family plus a few friends.

Pros
  • Powerful for a Portable Grill
  • Porcelain-Coated Grill Grates
  • Five-Year Warranty
Cons
  • No Propane Gas Options
  • Very Heavy for a Portable Grill

Power/Heating

The Weber Gas possesses two stainless steel burners that have a combined heating power of 21,700 BTUs, which means each burner has 10,850 BTUs. It may be below average, which is 12,000 BTUs per burner, but considering this is a portable gas grill, it’s actually very, very good. But if you’d like something more powerful and not so portable, check out the Napoleon Burners Prestige PRO 665 Natural Gas Grill reviews.

Size/Versatility

The Weber Grill has a cooking area of 393 square inches and a warming rack that measures 75 square inches for a total cooking space of 469 square inches. This is quite good for a portable grill as most max out just below 300 square inches. Be aware that this is a natural gas grill and cannot be converted to a liquid propane tank. If you want something that can double as a propane grill the Weber Genesis 310 or the Weber Genesis II 335 should do the trick.

Durability

Despite being touted as a portable grill, the Q3200 does weigh upwards of 85 pounds. Storing it in a garage and moving it around a yard is one thing, but taking it out to a cottage will be very hard. To put that in perspective, it weighs only 25 pounds less than the Weber Spirit II. Still, its aluminum construction is a welcome feature, and is much more durable than plastic.

Ease of Use

The Q3200 comes with porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates that not only retain heat for better cooking but are also much easier to clean. It also comes with foldable side tables which are great for holding your grilling utensils and two infinite control burner valves so you have better control over the temperature you’re grilling at.

Value

The Q3200 comes with a five-year warranty on the cast aluminum lid, cook box, burner tubes, and cooking grates, and two years on all remaining parts, like the flavorizer bars. It’s a limited warranty, sure, but it’s still much more than most other grills offer. The reviews on Amazon are good, too, if a little scarce. It currently holds 4.5/5 stars based on 90 reviews.

Weber Q3200 Wrap Up

It’s a shame the Weber Q3200 is as heavy as it is. Even if it just lost 50 pounds it would still be heavy by portable grill standards, but much more manageable. I should be clear though, you can’t convert it to a propane tank, but you do have the option of buying the propane tank version, which then cannot be converted to natural gas. You have to pick one.
