Chances are, when you’re searching for the best grills, this includes either the best natural gas grills or propane grills. If you want something that can act as both, the Weber Genesis II 335 is definitely a grill you should consider. All of its burners are above average for barbecues in its class and the extra-large cooking area means you can feed up to 25 hungry people tons of premium burgers!

Why We Like It – Weber Genesis II 335

The Weber Genesis II 335 is another excellent grill in a long time of top-end Weber Grills. Its main burners, combined with the side burner and sear station, provide excellent heat and cooking capabilities while the stainless steel construction ensures it survives whatever inclement weather may come its way.

Pros
  • Powerful Side Burner and Sear Station
  • Large Cooking Area
  • Porcelain-Enameled Cast-Iron Grates
Cons
  • Heavy
  • Difficult Assembly

Power/Heating

Weber Genesis II E-335 Gas Grills employs a GS4 high-performance grilling system that comprises three main burners at 39,000 BTU per hour, a side burner at 12,000 BTU, and a sear station burner at 9,000 BTU. Weber grills, including the Weber Spirit E210 and the Weber Q3200, have always been known for their exceptional performance, and this is no different. If you want something with more heat, check out the Napoleon Burners Prestige PRO 665 natural gas grill.

Size/Versatility

The Weber Grill comes in both natural gas and liquid propane (not propane gas, keep that in mind) options. The grilling area is 669 square inches total between a 156-inch warming rack area and a 513-inch primary cooking area. It matches the Weber Genesis 310 in terms of cooking area, and can easily house up to 25 burgers for your family and friends.

Durability

The build quality on Weber Grills, such as the Weber Spirit II, has always been top-notch and this Genesis II is no different. The high-quality stainless steel build is used throughout the grill and ensures its durability and survival against the elements. It’s heavy though, at 153 pounds, and not easily movable considering there are only two casters. Make sure you put it exactly where you want it.

Ease of Use

One of the other bothersome things about this grill is that assembly is difficult compared to other grills, similar to the Stok Quattro. It comes with instructions, but you’ll definitely need a spare afternoon to assemble it properly. Other than that, the cast iron cooking grates are porcelain-enameled so they are easier to clean, and the side tables provide a spot to house your cooking utensils and spices.

Value

While the GS4 Grilling System does provide high-quality main burners, it also provides stainless steel flavorizer bars for that signature grilled smoky flavor and a grease management system to help with clean-up and make it run smoother. Customer reviews on Amazon are largely positive as well, scoring 4.5.5 stars based on 446 reviews.

Weber Genesis II 335 Wrap Up

The Weber Genesis II 335 is a large and not easily movable grill, but then again the people at Weber didn’t design it with that in mind. I would rather have to move a grill just once, to its designated spot, and then have it sear up the best meals possible. Just make sure you set aside an entire afternoon to put it together!
