Performance (Display/Resolution/Refresh)
If you’re looking for a smart TV with a 4K 65″ display, look no further than the Samsung QN65Q80TAFXZC! Although it doesn’t have Dolby technology (if you want Dolby Vision technology, check out the LG SM9000!), it more than makes up for this shortcoming with its Quantum HDR display, Quantum 4K Processor, and direct full array display. The 4K UHD display upscales non-4K content for the ideal viewing experience and has a refresh rate of 120hz. Color Volume 100% technology allows this TV to display over a billion different colors, with perfect contrast and depth thanks to Quantum HDR 12X.

Sound
This TV has four built-in speakers, two top-firing, and two bottom-firing. They play an important role because they make it possible for this TV to track object sound for a 3D listening experience. It also has Active Voice Amplifier technology, which analyzes the audio of whatever you are watching and adjusts to provide clear audio & dialogue. Of course, if the stock speakers aren’t enough for you, you can always purchase a soundbar as well. Samsung recommends a Q Series soundbar (you can purchase the TV with either the Q800T or the Q900T soundbar).
Smart Features
Obviously, you want a smart TV to have a good selection of features, and the Samsung QN65Q80TAFXZCq has got you covered! It offers Samsung SmartThing technology along with an integrated Amazon Alexa system (the Samsung NU6900 55 also has Amazon Alexa built-in). This means you can use the TV to control various products, like motion sensors, thermostats, or light bulbs. Alexa allows you to control products too, but you can also use it to search the web, check the weather, or other digital tasks.

Ports & Expandability
The Samsung QN65Q80TAFXZCq has 4 HDMI ports, which is more than many other TVs, so you can easily connect all of your devices to it without needing an HDMI switch. The first three ports are HDMI 2.0, and the last one is HDMI 2.1. The TV also has optical audio output and two USB ports. As usual, there isn’t a headphone jack, but you can connect speakers easily using Bluetooth. You can also easily cast your phone to it because it supports Chromecast.
Value
If you’re looking at this TV, we’re assuming you’re willing to make a fairly large investment (if a lower cost is more important to you on a smart TV than the screen size, check out the Sony X720E instead). If not, you’d best be prepared, as this TV will set you back nearly $1,500 (or more, if you also want the soundbar!). Thankfully, after spending all of that money you do get free shipping, although returns are not free. There is no implied warranty on the page, so that is rather concerning, although there is a 3-year protection plan offered.
Samsung QN65Q80TAFXZCq Wrap Up
The Samsung QN65Q80TAFXZCq is no-doubt a great TV, offering a 65-inch UHD 4K display with a 3D listening experience and integrated Amazon Alexa. However, there are many cheaper options available, so the price will most likely be the biggest deterrent for the majority of consumers. On the other hand, if you don’t mind spending nearly $1,500 on a TV, then you’ll definitely be happy with the Samsung QN65Q80TAFXZCq!
