Performance (Display/Resolution/Refresh)
Like with most OLED TVs, the performance of this TV is excellent (another great LG OLED TV is the LG CX OLED!). It uses HDR to provide vibrant displays, which is powered by Dolby Vision (Dolby Atmos is also built-in to this model). The screen itself is a 55-inch 4K display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160, and you won’t have to worry about motion blurring thanks to its 120hz refresh rate. Sound
TV audio is good, thanks to onboard audio management by Dolby Atmos. The LG OLED TV audio comes from a 2.2 Ch 40W setup. If this arrangement doesn’t meet your expectations for a quality screen/sound combination, you can use a sound bar with this TV. LG recommends the SJ7, SJ8, and SJ9 soundbars. This model doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack, but it does one optical connection and works with HDMI ARC. It also works with Bluetooth, so you can easily connect it to your speakers.
Smart Features
This TV falls somewhat short when it comes to smart features, although it does have webOS 3.5 with voice search it doesn’t have Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa (if you want Amazon Alexa built into the TV, a better option might be the Samsung 8 Series TV). The TV has a bunch of streaming apps available, and you can cast to this TV using wi fi, but this feature only works with Android phones, so Apple users are out of luck. The remote control, LG’s Magic Remote, lets you “point-click” the TV similar to a Wii remote. Ports & Expandability
The LG OLED55C7P has four HDMI 2.2 ports (which can work with HDMI ARC), 3 USB ports, composite and component inputs, optical digital output, and an ethernet port. It doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack, which might make connecting to older systems a bit of a challenge, but you can always use a Bluetooth adapter to connect to those systems. As previously mentioned, you can easily cast video or audio to this TV, although this feature will only work with Android devices. The TV comes with a non-rotating stand, but you can also wall-mount the device if you wish.
Value
Pricing of this TV is mid-range at $1,399 (if the price of this TV is a little high for you, a cheaper option is the Sony XBR65X900F). This is a fair price considering the inclusion of Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, and the OLED screen, but you can get similar TVs for much less money. There is a 12-month warranty available from the manufacturer, though judging by the TV’s 4 out of 5-star rating on Amazon, it seems unlikely you will need it!

As far as TVs go, the LG Electronics OLED55C7P is a good choice, especially if you’re trying to make the ultimate sports fan setup! The 55″ OLED screen gives you an excellent view of the game, while the Dolby Atmos-managed speaker setup ensures you’ll be able to clearly hear the commentary. It would have been nice to have seen a headphone jack on this model, but the TV works just fine without it.
