When you’re looking for the best outdoor tvs or trying to find the best TV for sports (basically the best TV for bright room setups), you’re gonna want something with a bright yet contrasted display and little-to-no input lag that’s capable of streaming from multiple services. Good news – This LG TV has got you covered!  It’s one of the best TVs you could buy.

Why We Like It – LG UN7300

The LG UN7300 smart TV is managed by LG Thinq AI, streams all the popular platforms off of wi fi via webOS, and has active HDR, making it the perfect LCD TV for your smart home. You would also be interested in our Mitsubishi diamond 842 82-inch 3d dlp home cinema tv review.

Pros
  • Thinq AI With Filmmaker Mode & A Home Dashboard Full Of Streaming Apps
  • TV Features Both Amazon Alexa & Google Assistant
  • Built-In Apple Airplay 2 and Apple HomeKit
Cons
  • 60hz Refresh Rate
  • Only Has 3 HDMI Ports
  • Voice Control Needs To Be Activated With A Button On The Remote Control

Performance (Display/Resolution/Refresh)

This TV provides excellent picture quality on its 4K HDR UHD LED display (if you want an OLED TV instead, check out the LG CX OLED). It has a low refresh rate of only 60hz, but the Quad Core Processor 4K is constantly optimizing the TV so you won’t have any noticeable performance loss. The images remain clear and vibrant throughout, thanks to the active HDR system. Watching SD content? Not to worry, the processor will upscale it to near-4K quality! For digital streaming and internet services, use a smart Tv gadget like the one described in our LG smart tv upgrader review.

Sound

The LG UN7300 has built-in speakers, but if you’re probably going to want to take advantage of the Bluetooth surround sound capabilities instead. Enjoy true “surround sound” by using two separate Bluetooth speakers (such as the LG XBoom Speakers) for the ultra surround sound experience when you watch your favorite TV shows, stream Apple TV, or listen to music. If you decide to stick with the internal speakers, just be aware that (since the speakers are down-firing), using the TV without stand on a wall mount may not provide the best audio performance.

Smart Features

There are a couple of different smart features built into this TV. The main interface, webOS, makes it easy to stream your favorite shows because it has a variety of apps available such as CBS, Sling, and Prime Video. One unique feature of this TV is its “Sport Alert”, which gives you updates on your favorite sports teams (even when you’re not watching the game!). You can control the device by voice control using either Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, although you will need to hit a button on the remote before the TV will listen to you. Ports & Expandability

On this TV you will find a total of 3 HDMI ports (if 3 HDMI inputs aren’t enough for you, try the Sony XBR65X900F – it has four!), two USB 2.0 ports, a composite input, an optical audio output, and an ethernet port. Like many other TVs, this model lacks a headphone jack, but it does have a Bluetooth system that’s capable of connecting to two Bluetooth speakers simultaneously! The TV stand is somewhat wobbly, but you can wall-mount the TV if you’re concerned about something (like a cat) knocking it over.

Value

You won’t have to drop over $1,000 for this TV. In fact, it only costs $426.99! For reference on how great of a deal that is, another great TV for outdoors, the Samsung 8 Series TV, costs $1,497.99! While this TV doesn’t have as nice of a picture as an OLED monitor, it performs very well for the price, so we think it’s definitely worth the cost. You can get this TV delivered (or returned) for free, and there are protection plans available starting at an additional $53.99 for three years.

LG UN7300 Wrap Up

The LG UN7300 provides great performance for the price, offering a smart 4K setup for less than $500. While it would have been nice if LG had added one more HDMI port, this isn’t a huge issue since you can just buy an HDMI splitter. Between the “Sport Alert” future and the ability to get a surround sound setup using Bluetooth, this TV is definitely worth the small price it commands.
