Size/Versatility
The Philips smokeless infrared grill provides a nonstick grill cooking grid of about 112 square inches. This is quite large, and you should be able to cook a decent amount of food for yourself and others. But unlike the Secura GR-1503XL, the Philips smoke less grill isn’t reversible and thus has only one type of cooking plate. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it can be annoying when you’re trying to make different kinds of grilled food.
Durability
The 16 pounds the Philips Smokeless indoor BBQ grill weighs isn’t heavy by any stretch of the imagination, but there are definitely companies that offer grills that weigh far less, like the Presto 09020 indoor grill. The Zojirushi Indoor is among these grills. It’s made from plastic as opposed to stainless steel, which can be a plus considering how annoying stainless steel is to clean, but you can check out the George Foreman 4 if you like stainless steel.

Ease of Use
The fat and grease drip into the drip tray which is easily removable. The drip tray is also dishwasher safe, just make sure you wipe it down with a cloth beforehand. Of course, you can hand wash if you prefer. The grill does produce less smoke and flare-ups than other grills too, which is nice, but it’s always advisable to have some sort of fan because nothing can be completely smoke-free.
Value
The grill, part of the Avance Collection, is a little pricey, but it does its job well which is all you really need to ask for. A note here though. The infrared lights can become very, very bright when on max power. It can easily light up a dark room if the lights are off, so it will probably hurt your eyes the first few times you use it if you’re not used to that level of brightness.
