MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 15.6 Gaming Laptops sports exceptional power under a light and thin gaming laptop. It’s one of the reasons we consider it a best gaming laptop for Fortnite and one of the best laptops for WOW. But let’s hope you’re using it for more than just those two games or else the GPU will surely be going to waste. It’s like investing in one of the best gaming laptops and not using all the features they have.

Why We Like It – MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 15.6

The MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 15.6 is one of the most powerful gaming laptops we’ve come across. The CPU and RAM can handle anything you throw at it without any slowdowns and the GPU is so powerful that it can play the most graphically intense games, Like The Witcher 3 and Tomb Raider, without signs of a frame rate drop.

Pros
  • Plenty of Power Under the Hood
  • Decent Battery Life
  • Great Variety of Ports
Cons
  • Battery Drains the Same While Working or Gaming
  • 512GB Storage is a Little Restrictive for Gaming

Power/Performance

The MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 packs an Intel Core i7 GPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 GPU, and 16GB of RAM. If you’d like a slightly more powerful GPU, the Acer Predator Triton 500 RTX 2060 has an option for an RTX 2080 GPU. But back to the MSI GL65, unless you’re playing five games of WOW at the same time nothing can really slow this beast down. And with the GPU, even the most graphically intense games will power smoothly on the highest settings.

Battery

Gaming laptops have a notorious reputation for bad battery life. The MSI GL65 Leopard does remedy this situation somewhat as its battery life clocks in at about five hours and 40 minutes. About the same as the msi GS65 Stealth Thin. This beats the gaming laptop average of about four hours. However, whether your gaming or just working, this five hour and 40 minute battery life is absolute, so keep that in mind.

Ports/Expandability

On the left side of the laptop is an Ethernet jack, an HDMI and mini DisplayPort video outputs, USB 3.2 Type-A and Type-C ports, and separate headphone and microphone jacks. The right has two more USB 3.2 Type-A ports, a full-size SD card reader, and the power connector. Fantastic as a mobile gaming machine, check out the Alienware New M15 for another example of a port-friendly gaming laptop.

Build Quality

This laptop can hardly be considered big, and the thin bezels on the display are, well, as thin as they come. It looks as conventional as they come as far as gaming laptops are concerned, and there will be no-one questioning whether it’s a gaming laptop or not. We’ll leave it up to you to decide whether this is a positive or negative. However, the 512GB storage may be a little too restrictive for hardcore gamers. Value

One of the main draws of the MSI GL65 Leopard is the per key backlighting that most high-end gaming laptops have. The speakers offer quality sound output, but you may want to invest in a pair of headphones if you want something completely mind-blowing. Finally, the display sports a solid 1080P resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate that will make your gaming experience bright, vibrant, and smooth.

MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 15.6 Wrap Up

There are some stereotypical things wrong with the MSI GL65 Leopard 10SFK-062 15.6, but overall it’s really hard to find fault. The 512GB storage is one of those things, but it’s a small price to pay considering all the power it sports that will help it play your favourite games smoothly and vibrantly.
