Acer Predator Triton 500 RTX 2060 Gaming Laptops is a thin and light gaming laptop that boasts incredible power and a consistent frame rate that also makes it the best gaming laptop for Fortnite too. You won’t get too much Fortnite playing out of the laptop unless you have it plugged in all the time though. The battery life is rather poor. Why We Like It – Acer Predator Triton 500 RTX 2060

The Acer Predator Triton 500 RTX 2060 makes both applications and games tremble in its presence. The powerful CPU and GPU makes even the most graphically-enhanced games fall to their knees, and the 32GB of RAM prevents any slowdown no matter how many windows and applications you have open.

Pros
  • Great Port Options
  • 16.8 Million Color Hues Available
  • Consistent 60FPS
Cons
  • Poor Battery Life
  • Shows Fingerprints Easily
  • 512GB SSD Feels Just a Bit Restrictive

Power/Performance

Equipped with a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU, an Intel Core i7 CPU, and massive 32GB of RAM, the Acer Predator Triton 500 can rip through as many open applications and tabs as it wants without slowing down. It also means that gaming performance is extraordinary and capable of making mincemeat out of just about any high end video game. Like the Razer Blade Stealth 13.3, it’s power and performance capabilities are near god-like.

Battery

Battery life on gaming laptops have always had a reputation of being bad. The Acer Predator Triton 500 does little to change that perception. Clocking in at just over three hours, the battery life is about 45 minutes to an hour short of average gaming laptop life. If you’re in it for the battery life, try checking out the Gigabyte Aero 15.

Ports/Expandability

On the right side of the laptop is a couple of USB 3.1 ports, a Thunderbolt 3 port, a mini DisplayPort, and a Kensington lock. Another USB 3.1 port is on the left along with an HDMI 2.0 port, an Ethernet port, a headphone jack, power jack. The laptop is ready to be taken out for on-the-go gaming. See the Asus Rog Zephyrus S Ultra Slim Gaming Laptop for another port-friendly design.

Build Quality

Overall, the design of the laptop is eye-catching and screams gamer from a mile away, but onyx metal shows fingerprints so make sure you have a cloth handy. With PredatorSense you can switch up the key colors with the 16.8 million hues that are available. Unfortunately, the 512GB NVMe SSD does feel a little restrictive for a gaming laptop.

Value

For the price Acer packs in a lot of features on the Predator Triton 500. Among these is the 60 frames per second it consistently scores even among most higher end games. The display is clear, but can feel a little dim at times. Perhaps they should have gone with a G Sync display this time around, but that would have raised the price of an already expensive laptop.

Acer Predator Triton 500 RTX 2060 Wrap Up

A powerful and no-nonsense laptop, the main purpose of the Acer Predator Triton 500 is to play your video games, big or small, in the smoothest and most graphically-enhanced way possible. For the price, Acer has produced a competent laptop that comes with few complaints. Unless, of course, you’re talking about the battery.
