The brand Toshiba wanted to create a reliable and dependent laptop, and that’s just what they did with the Toshiba Tecra A50-E, claiming a spot in our Best Laptops category. Featuring components that will help several get through the day with a fair battery life, performance that will get the job done, and even a removable battery, this laptop is more than adequate to be on our list for Best Laptop for Seniors. Even with issues regarding the audio and display, the Toshiba Tecra A50-E is a powerful laptop for those on the go. Its excellent performance and good battery life makes it one of the best laptops.

Why We Like It – Toshiba Tecra A50-E

Packed with an Intel Core i7, the Toshiba Tecra A50-E performs well under pressure with a great display resolution. The optical drive is a nice addition to this well rounded laptop.

Pros
  • Fair battery life
  • Excellent performance
  • Removable battery
Cons
  • Dim display
  • Poor audio

Power/Performance

Even without traditional hard disk space, the Toshiba Tecra A50-E is more than ready to handle any files that you may use in a work day. Having 256GB of space, it’s more than enough for documents and pictures that you may need to use for a presentation. The Intel Core i7 also keeps multiple applications running at the same time, all without breaking a sweat. The Tecra AE50-E is on par with the Acer Aspire E15 when it comes to performance. Take a look at the Acer Aspire 5 Slim review for a 10th generation Core i5 laptop.

Battery

One thing to note about the Toshiba Tecra A50-E’s battery is that it has a rare feature in most laptops nowadays, a removable battery. This greatly extends the quality of life of the laptop, as if the battery is having trouble retaining a charge, all you have to do is order a new one. Those instances however will be few and far between, as the Tecra A50-E has more than enough power to last through the day.

Ports/Expandability

The Toshiba Tecra AE50-E comes equipped with a USB 3.0 port, headphone jack, disk drive, HDMI, Ethernet, and VGA port. A rather weak selection port, but it still covers the essentials for what needs to be on a on the go laptop. However if one is looking for a laptop with a more diverse port selection, the Apple MacBook Pro 13 has it in spades.

Build Quality

For every build of a laptop, there will be decisions that will determine what works and what doesn’t regarding the performance of a laptop. While the Toshiba Tecra A50-E may be fast and responsive, the screen is not as bright as it should be, as well as including underperforming speakers. Should customers be looking for a laptop with a brighter screen, the HP Chromebook 14 can be seen in any environment. Value

For on the go meetings and general work, the Toshiba Tecra A50-E is an invaluable asset, providing a simple, no fuss experience that’s as ready to go as you are. All you need to do is turn it on, and its ready to go for the whole day with no fuss.

Toshiba Tecra A50-E Wrap Up

Simple and powerful, Tobisha delivers a powerhouse with the Toshiba Tecra A50-E that will crush any assignment. A swappable battery with a long life and excellent performance put the AE50-E above the competition, even with issues regarding the audio and brightness. For a laptop that can last throughout the day, keep an eye on the Toshiba Tecra A50-E.
