Our #2 pick for the best curved TV is the Samsung RU7300. Curved TVs help you get immersed in the action by surrounding your peripheral vision with your favorite shows and movies. See our picks for the best TVs overall.

Why We Like It – Samsung RU7300

The Samsung RU7300 is an incredible curved smart TV that will definitely make a statement in any living room. We love its easy-to-use smart features, and the gorgeous picture quality. And its slim design makes it easy to wall mount.

Pros
  • Easy-to-use Universal Guide
  • Cable management solution
  • Gorgeous 4K picture quality with UHD upscaling
Cons
  • Amazon reviewers had trouble with Samsung customer service

Performance/Display/Resolution/Refresh

The Samsung RU7300 has a gorgeous 4K resolution with a powerful UHD processor that upscales older content into modern quality. It’s compatible with High Dynamic Range content that makes colors pop; plus, Samsung’s PurColor technology brings you an even wider range of shades running the full color gamut. While the curved design is already great for getting sucked into your favorite shows, Samsung’s Auto Depth Enhancer technology helps you get even more immersed in the action. Plus, it has a 60hz refresh rate for smooth video games and watching sports. While the screen size on the RU7300 is 55 inches, compare its excellent picture quality to the 65-inch model, the Samsung 7 Series TV or check out our Samsung Series 7 RU7100 review.

Sound

This Samsung has built-in speakers with Dolby Digital audio that are fairly good. However, many Amazon reviewers opted to add an external sound bar for better sound quality.

Smart Features

This is a great TV to add to your existing smart home. Samsung TVs with smart technology typically come with a Universal Guide that combines listings from your favorite streaming services (like Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime Video) into one place. And it’s compatible with smart speakers like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Samsung smart TVs are pretty easy-to-use, so we would recommend Samsung’s HDR smart TV for people who want smart features but aren’t super tech-savvy. Compare its features to the Samsung Electronics UN65MU7500.

Ports/Expandability

This Samsung UHD TV has 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports so you can plug in your DVD player, cable box, gaming consoles, and flash drives all at the same time. It has wifi for easy internet setup and Bluetooth for adding an external sound bar. This TV also comes with Samsung’s One Remote Control that allows you to control all compatible devices connected to your TV.

Value

At $604, this Samsung is a decent price for a 55-inch TV. You definitely get what you pay for, incredible picture, sound and smart features. Power consumption is fairly average at 65 watts, but it does have an eco sensor that automatically adjusts the TV’s brightness depending on how sunny your room is; this is great for saving on your electricity bill. But of course, if you’re looking for a TV with more bells and whistles, check out the Samsung 7 Series Curved 65 QLED TV.

Samsung RU7300 Wrap Up

If you want great picture quality, you’ll definitely want to bring this Samsung curved screen TV home and get immersed in the action. The built-in Universal Guide is easy-to-use, and is compatible with your favorite smart speakers.
