The name Monument may not be synonymous with best grills just yet, but if they keep churning out grills like this one, then it could be in their future. This is especially true if you’re looking for the best rotisserie grill, as this one has a sturdy rotisserie attachment for all your chicken and lamb needs.

Why We Like It – Monument Grills

The Monument Grills is a stand-out among mid-range grills for its abundance of features, such as a rotisserie grill, side burners, LED knobs, and powerful main burners, and its exceptionally large grilling space that rivals those of higher-end models.

Pros
  • Under 10 Minutes of Preheat Time
  • Side Burners
  • Porcelain-Coated Cast-Iron Grates
Cons
  • Loose Bolts
  • Wheel Locks Don’t Always Engage

Power/Heating

Monument Four Burner Gas Grills have, as you may have suspected, four main burners. These four main stainless steel burners are capable of reaching a combined total of 60,000 BTUs, or15,000 each, which is above the 10,000-12,000 average. If you need something even more powerful for whatever reason, make sure you check out the DCS Grill Reviews. Another plus for the Monument, it preheats in under 10 minutes!

Size/Versatility

The primary cooking area on the Monument grill is 513 square inches while the warming rack adds another 210 square inches for a total of 723 square inches of cooking space. It’s a large cooking area capable of hosting a large-scale barbecue. You can check out the Weber Summit S-670 LP gas grill if you want something with just a tad bit more space.

Durability

The Monument is constructed from sturdy stainless steel and should stand up to most inclement weather you throw at it. Where it does disappoint is near the grill’s main body where smaller, not always tightened bolts are used. The wheel locks seem to be on the cheap side as they don’t always engage when you press down on them. Try the Char-Broil 463370719 or the Char-Broil Performance 2 burner for something a little sturdier.

Ease of Use

Monument Grills come with LED controls which work wonders for temperature control for late-night cooking and porcelain-coated cast-iron grates which not only retain heat but are easier to clean. And while there is assembly required it shouldn’t take more than a few hours and only one tool, a Phillips head screwdriver. The only time you may need help is by putting on the clearview lid.

Value

There’s still plenty of additional features on the Monument Grill like side sear burners and a rotisserie grill that’s great for chicken, lamb, and turkey. It’s unavailable on Amazon right now, but it shouldn’t cost you more than $500.00 if you find one elsewhere. Ad truthfully, for a mid-range barbecue like this, all of the features it has makes it really stand out.

Monument Grills Wrap Up

You would do well to review Monument Grills if you find yourself looking for a new one. The construction may have taken a back seat to features, but the features it does include are plentiful and worthwhile. And if Monument can boost their construction prowess they’ll have a real winner on their hands.
