Power/Heating
The Lion gas grill L9000 has five cast stainless steel burners that push 75,000 BTUs and an infrared rotisserie backburner stainless steel that pushes 15,000 BTU for a combined total of 90,000 BTUs. That’s 24,000 BTUs more than the Napoleon Prestige 500! Another way to look at it, the five main burners are 15,000 BTUs each, well above the 12,000 BTU average. The Lion Stainless Steel Grill is on-par with the DCS grill.

Size/Versatility
Unlike the Fuego F24C gas grill, this Lion BBQ grill provides an 802 square inch built primary cooking area combined with a stainless steel smoker grill head that’s 228 square inches which provides an exceptional cooking area of 1030 square inches. It’s a huge grill, and you’ll be able to feed everyone and their grandmother on it. Of course, some people just need a grill for family cooking, so consider the Char-Broil 463370719 if this is you. It also comes in built-in or freestanding options, for your outdoor kitchen, and propane or natural gas options.
Durability
Lion Grills are hefty items. At 200 pounds, it’s going to be rough whether you decide on built-in or freestanding. Not that we expected anything else, mind you. Still, if you want something easier to move around, try the Weber Summit S-670 LP Gas Grill. The Lion is constructed with stainless steel, and although stainless steel is a pain to clean, it adds to the incredible durability the grill already possesses.

Ease of Use
The stainless steel cooking grates are naturally resistant to wear and tear, which is nice, but they are not porcelain-coated, which makes them a little harder to clean. An XL commercial temperature gauge makes monitoring your temperature and your meal very easy, and two interior lights make using the grill well into the night safe.
Value
Lion stands by its product and offers a lifetime warranty that covers the burners, cooking grids, stainless steel frame, and housing. Lion also has a vast amount of nifty accessories like a rotisserie kit, grill cover, smoker box, griddle, and griddle plate remover with bottle opener. These are all sold separately though, which adds even more dollar signs to an already hefty price tag.

The only drawback to the Lion Premium Grills 40″ Natural Gas Grill is that all the accessories must be purchased separately. The actual grill itself is near-perfection, to be honest. Its weight is the only problem with the design and, truthfully, it’s not that big a deal. After I decide where to put it I want a grill with power, not one that’s mobile.
