The name DCS should be synonymous with best grills, and if they keep churning out grills like this one, then it will continue to be in their future. This is especially true if you’re looking for the best rotisserie grill, as this one has a sturdy rotisserie attachment, plus a quick preheat, for all your chicken, lamb, and turkey needs.

Why We Like It – DCS Grill

DCS Grills are among the most powerful and most versatile on the market, and this one is no different. The rotisserie feature is a nice addition you don’t normally see on grills, and the exceptionally large cooking area is fantastic for anyone who has a backyard full of hungry guests. If you’re feeding a huge group, you’ll need another big grill like the Lion Premium Grills 40″ natural gas grill.

Pros
  • Quick to Preheat
  • Comes in Natural Gas or Propane
  • Smart Beam Halogen Lighting System
Cons
  • Very Heavy
  • Radiant Rods are Ceramic

Power/Heating

The DCS gas grills have two main burners rated at 25,000 BTUs, or 12,500 BTUs each, which is slightly higher than the 10,000-12,000 BTU average of barbecues. If you would like something with more burners, consider the Monument Grill. The DCS Grill also has a powerful, 18,000 BTU rear burner, and preheating only takes about five to ten minutes, which is similar to the preheat on the Fuego F24c gas grill.

Size/Versatility

Unlike the Coyote S Series grill, the cooking grates on the DCS Grill measure 630 square inches while the warming rack measures 241 square inches for a total grilling surface of 871 square inches. It’s probably one of the biggest grills we’ve seen and will be a welcome addition to any outdoor kitchen. If you don’t need that much space, you can always check out the Weber Summit S-670 LP Gas Grill, another high-end grill.

Durability

The DCS Grill is on the heavier side of grills at 250 pounds. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but with only two casters it’s going to be hard to move around if you need to. Try the Char-Broil 463370719 for something a little more manageable. Having said that, stainless steel construction protects it from the elements, but the ceramic rods are more prone to breaking. Ease of Use

The DCS Grill uses a patented grease management system to reduce flare-ups. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t put extra effort into cleaning your grill to make it last as long as it can. The double-sided grates offer different cooking options with the grooved-shaped side being great for meats and the curved side ideal for foods like fish and veggies.

Value

The Smart Beam Lighting System provides you with halogen illumination so you can grill, day or night, to your heart’s content. DCS also offers a lifetime warranty (labor not included) that covers the burner box, stainless steel grill cover, stainless steel grill burners, grill racks, and cooking grates. For parts and labor, you have a two-year limited warranty.

DCS Grill Wrap Up

Honestly, with a little bit of love, the ceramic radiant rods shouldn’t be too much of a problem. The grill is heavy, yes, but when you’re planning a party do you want a grill that you can move about easily, or do you want a grill that can sear meat to perfection and feed your guests promptly?
