According to several customer reviews, the Lenovo ThinkPad T580 is one of the best business laptops to get in the United States, and after a hands on experience, it’s hard to disagree. The 512GB SSD pairs perfectly with a great port selection, keyboard, and speakers. The only issues found are with the bezels and the need to upgrade, but other than that, the Lenovo ThinkPad T580 more than deserves to be at the top of our list for Best Ubuntu Laptop and maybe on our list of the best laptops.

Power/Performance
Powered by an Intel core i7 processor and 16 GB of RAM, the Lenovo ThinkPad T580 is more than capable of handling multiple tasks at the same time. Whether it be presentations or documents, the ThinkPad can load, process, and edit on the fly without stuttering or lag, reliable for when you need to edit on the go. With a performance that rivals the Dell XPS 13 9370, the ThinkPad T580 will last long throughout the day.

Battery
This is where the Lenovo ThinkPad T580 gets some fair criticism. The included battery that comes with the ThinkPad is nine hours; not too bad, but compared to other laptops such as the Acer Aspire E 15, it feels lackluster. There is a solution however: getting a battery upgrade. If you want to get the most out of your laptop, you’re going to have to shell out a few more dollars to do so.

All around the Lenovo ThinkPad T580 feels fantastic to carry around. Constructed out of a plastic material, it doesn’t feel cheap. The only negative thing to note is found with the bezels of the screen. Feeling a bit too big for the screen, the Dell XPS 15 9560 offers a more clear screen.
Value
What hurts the value of the Lenovo ThinkPad T580 is its insistence on gatekeeping the best performance it can give behind an upgrade. Of course people are going to want more battery life, and to not offer a model with said upgrade seems rather obtuse for Lenovo.
