Power, picture, and performance, the Dell XPS 15 9560 combines all three into an almost perfect trifecta of a laptop. Justifying its high price point, the XPS 15 can free itself from its ac adapter, able to last just as long as you can. Even with issues with its CPU and keyboard, the Dell XPS 15 9560 features a long-lasting bat

tery, a bezel less screen accompanied by a 100% Adobe RGB rating. This laptop more than earns a spot on our list for Best Ubuntu Laptop and the best laptop in the market.

Why We Like It – Dell XPS 15 9560

Powered by a quad core CPU, the Dell XPS 15 9560 is the perfect blend of battery life and performance. Featuring jaw dropping colors, the XPS can feel like looking through a window.

Pros
  • 100% Adobe RGB
  • Practically bezel less screen
  • Long lasting battery
Cons
  • Keyboard is disappointing
  • CPU throttles under large loads

Power/Performance

Right off the bat a 100% Adobe RGB rating is nothing to scoff at, featuring a near life like screen is more than enough to turn anyone’s head. Add to the fact that the Dell XPS 15 9560 has both an Intel Core i7 and a GTX 1050, and more and more this seems like the perfect laptop. However, there is one silver lining: under a continuous load, the XPS 15 throttles, leading to the laptop underperforming. For those not wanting to worry about throttling, the Lenovo Thinkpad T580 has no issues with throttling.

Battery

Due to it’s bigger size, the Dell XPS 15 9560 has a larger size that it’s counterpart, the Dell XPS 13 9370. Coming in with a 10 hour battery, the XPS 15 can go with you and last the whole day. Of course this only applies if you use it for productive means, as the included GTX 1050 eats through the battery quickly. For those looking for a laptop with a longer battery, the Acer Aspire E 15 can last up to 15 hours, a bit more than the XPS 15.

Ports/Expandability

The Dell XPS 15 9560 comes equipped with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, 2 USB ports, HDMI, 3.5 mm audio, and a SD card reader. All in all this laptop provides a fantastic port selection that is ready for any situation that might arise. The inclusion of Thunderbolt is a great choice, as many in the competition lack this port, making the XPS 15 stand out.

Build Quality

The one thing keeping the Dell XPS 15 9560 from being perfect in terms of building quality is its keyboard. Everything else is fantastic, it’s a shame that the keyboard feels subpar, especially when it comes to gaming. While the graphics are fantastic, the feeling of the keyboard marrs the experience. Take a look at the Dell Xps 15 7590 review for a laptop with a backlit keyboard.

Value

Asking for nearly $2000 is never an easy thing, however Dell makes it a tad less difficult with the XPS 15 9560. You can tell that time and care went into the contraction of this laptop, and every detail was scrutinized. Useful both in work and play, there’s little you can go wrong with with the XPS 15.

Dell XPS 15 9560 Wrap Up

High in price and performance, the Dell XPS 15 9560 can do nearly anything you throw at it, with a 100% Adobe RGB rating, an excellent battery life, and a bezel less screen, not even a lackluster keyboard or throttling issues should dissuade you from seriously considering the XPS 15 as your next laptop.
