When people search for one of the best laptops, such as the best business laptop, they probably want oled laptops capable of great gaming performance, and the Dell XPS 15 7590 may be such a laptop. It’s an oled model gaming laptop that has a processor that’s almost as powerful as the Intel Core i9 processor, making it great for content creators. The powerful processor and ample features makes it one of the best laptops.

Why We Like It – Dell XPS 15 7590

The Dell XPS 15 7590 has a touch display with an oled panel that displays Full HD resolution to help display the high quality graphics that this laptop can process. It also possesses one of the more up-to-date Core Intel processors, and has security measures such as the fingerprint reader.

Cons
  • Expensive

Power/performance

This laptop has an Intel Core i7 processor, surpassing the Dell XPS 13 9380, which has an Intel Core i5 processor. It also has 16 GBs of RAM that allows the user to open more, or even intensive, programs without slowing the computer down, and a solid state drive to help complete tasks faster. As for the graphics, it has a Max Q GPU in the form of a NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics card.

Battery

This laptop has an average battery life of about 9 hours, having slightly less battery life compared to the Asus Chromebook Flip C434, which has a battery life of 10 hours. Since it contains a solid state drive instead of a traditional hard drive, saving power is easier. Other ways to save power include dimming the oled screen, and not pushing the CPU and RAM to their limits by opening too many programs, especially programs that require more processing.

Ports/expandability

This assortment consists of USB C, audio/ microphone combo jack, SD card reader, HDMI, and USB type A ports. While it’s a simple assortment of ports, those ports provide fast charging for various devices as well as a fast file transferring speed. It also provides fast wi fi and Bluetooth, which somewhat adds even more types of devices that the computer can be connected to, and is especially useful if there’s ever a chance the ports can’t function.

Build quality

Since it has a solid state drive, it has a slimmer appearance that’s almost as thin as an Apple Macbook Pro, and has a chassis made of aluminum to provide decent durability and protection. It weighs 5.5 Lbs., weighing significantly more than the Macbook Pro, which weighs 3.1 Lbs. One of the contributions to the overall weight is the size of the laptop screen, as there’s about a 2 inch difference between the Dell and that particular Macbook Pro model. Value

While the laptop’s expensive, it’s expensive for more than just a couple of reasons: Aside from having a processor that gives the computer the capability of processing modern day games, there’s also the 1 TB solid state drive, 16 Gbs of RAM, and an IPS screen that displays a wide range of colors and provides sharp visuals. Most, if not all, of the components are high quality and provide an overall high performing experience.

Dell XPS 15 7590 Wrap Up

Customer reviews have mostly been positive, praising the laptop for its oled display and performance, addressing the improvements it obtained compared to the model from last year. One reviewer noticed how high quality the screen is. However, the same reviewer also acknowledged that it’s anti-reflective doesn’t work as well outdoors as it does indoors.
