If you’re shopping for the best business laptop and perhaps the best laptop, one option that comes to mind is the Huawei Matebook X Pro. Its Intel Core i7 is great for multitasking, thanks to its four cores. It can also last up to 15 hours on a single charge, putting on the path to be the best battery life laptop. It may not be the best laptop in the market but it works perfectly.

Why We Like It – Huawei Matebook X Pro

The Huawei Matebook X Pro is a great example of blending work and play into one premium laptop, thanks to its quad core Intel i7 for multitasking and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 for solid gaming performance.

Pros
  • Up to 15 hours of battery life
  • USB C port supports Thunderbolt 3
  • Tough metal unibody
Cons
  • Intel Core i5 model lacks a GeForce MX150
  • RAM is soldered to board

Power & Performance

Wielding a quad core Intel Core i7 really does wonders for business related tasks, whether it’s video editing, working with several tabs, or casual gaming. In fact, only the i7 model comes with the GeForce MX150, so if that’s a concern, don’t go with the i5 model. However, serious gaming needs the Dell XPS 15 7590. Go through the HP Zbook G5 review for a laptop that comes with a 32GB RAM.

Battery

Battery life on the Huawei Matebook X Pro is one reason it’s a great laptop for work. With up to 15 hours of juice, you can get quite a bit done. Its phenomenal battery life outclasses the 10 hours you get from the Asus Chromebook Flip C434. Our Lenovo Flex 5 14 review showcases a laptop with a great battery life.

Ports & Expandability

Unfortunately, like Macbook Pros, there’s very few avenues for expanding the Huawei Matebook X Pro’s power. What you see is what you get. As for ports, the Matebook X Pro comes with just two USB C ports, one of which does support Thunderbolt 3, which is nice to have. At least the Dell XPS 13 9380 can expand storage via microSD card slot.

Build Quality

Despite weighing just 2.93 lbs, the Huawei Matebook X Pro managed to make a sturdy, yet lightweight laptop made of an all-metal unibody, similar to that of Macbooks. It’s going to withstand a beating, whether it’s bumping against a wall or getting knocked around in your backpack.

Value

The best value here comes from the model that uses the Intel Core i7, that is if you like to spend your free time gaming; otherwise you can save yourself nearly $400 by going with the Intel Core i5 model. Either one is going to excel at multitasking, so it depends on your needs, and both benefit from Huawei Share.

Huawei Matebook X Pro Wrap Up

Regardless of which model you settle on, the Huawei Matebook X Pro is a fine laptop for business. Its CPU has four cores to handle your workload, in addition to a GeForce MX150 when relaxation is your concern. Everything is then tightly secured within a tough, metal unibody for above-standard protection.
