Power/Performance
Powered by the Intel Core i5, the Aspire e15 is a solid middleman offering the best performance for the price. Much like the Lenovo Thinkpad T580, the E15 is perfect for productivity, the i5 included more than capable of doing so, only struggling with the most extreme cases of multitasking, or using several demanding programs. The Acer Aspire E 15 also comes with the GeForce MX150, a mid range GPU that can handle modern titles at medium settings, not a bad feat for a laptop with this price.
Battery
Now all of what was mentioned above would be moot if everything such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth caused massive battery drain. For the most part, the E 15 delivers on a long consistent battery, packed with a six cell Lithium-Ion battery at 2800 mAh, Acer promises a 15 hour charge. A claim that’s only put to the test when the E15 does strenuous tasks, such as gaming. Other than that, Acer’s Aspire laptop can go where you go, without having to worry about carrying a charger with you. However, for those who are constantly gaming, the Dell XPS 13 9370 has a battery that can handle the demanding task of rendering games.

Ports/Expandability
The Acer Aspire E 15 comes equipped with 4 USB ports, one supporting Type C, HDMI, Ethernet ports, as well as a Kensington lock. Also included is a DVD reader/writer drive. This is a fantastic port selection, one many laptops simply lack, especially with the addition of type C support.
Build Quality
Unfortunately this is where the Acer Aspire E 15 starts to take a dip. For $600, the quality of the chassis can only go so far. While secure, the Acer Aspire E 15 feels a bit bulky, built with a material some might just not like. For those looking for something more streamlined, the Dell XPS 15 9560 might fit the bill.
Value
Although some might be dissuaded by the low price, the Acer Aspire E 15 truly feels as if it should cost more. While admittedly this model is the highest end version of the E 15, it is absolutely worth every cent. Reliable for many uses, the Acer Aspire E 15 will never let you down. For long term use however, it’s advised to swap the hard drive, at this point, 256 GBs go by quickly.
