Power/Heating

Weber Grills are known for their power, and the S-670 is no different. The main burner BTU per hour input is 60,00. It also has 12,00 BTU side burners, 10,600 rotisserie burners, and sear burner, and an 8,000 BTU integrated smoker burner. Like the Summit E series, the S-Series will be the envy of a backyard. If you want more powerful main burners, try the Napoleon Burners Prestige PRO 665 Natural Gas Grill.

Size/Versatility

Summit S-670 Gas Grills have a primary cooking area of 693 square inches and a warming rack of 145 square inches for a total capacity of 838 square inches. You aren’t going to find many grills with this much space. If you aren’t sold on natural gas you can also choose the liquid propane option, as it comes in both, just like the Weber Genesis 310.

Durability

The Summit S-670 is a well-constructed unit. Although stainless steel is a pain to clean, it helps grills survive any inclement weather. But investing in a grill cover is still a good idea unless you know how to fully repair a BBQ grill. The grill measures 30 x 74.1 x 57.1 inches L x W x H, which is average for a grill this size, but also weighs an immense 289 pounds. Again, this is to be expected, but it does make it very difficult to move around. Try the Weber Spirit II for something more manageable.

Ease of Use

The cooking grates are porcelain-enameled stainless steel, which means they retain heat when grilling but are also easier to clean thanks to food sliding right off. It makes you wonder what other grills are made in the USA with such great quality. The side shelf, actually two of them, are great for placing your utensils and cooking spices, and the stainless steel flavorizer bars catch drippings that smoke and sizzle which adds flavor to your food.

Value

Honestly, the Summit S-670 is a great grill, but I wouldn’t be surprised if people are turned off by the price. It’s an investment, to be sure, but those who take the plunge should be very happy with their purchase. The S-670 does come with a comparatively generous warranty too. It’s 10 years excluding normal wear and tear, which should be obvious.

Weber Summit S-670 Wrap Up

Be sure you know exactly where you’re going to put the grill when you buy it because chances are you won’t want to move it for a while. But despite that, it’s hard to find anything wrong with the Summit S-670. It’s powerful, large, easy to clean, and easy to use. It even comes with a cookbook for new ideas!
