The George Foreman Electric Grill GGR50B is most definitely one of the very few electric grills available below $100 that can be regarded as one of the best grills in the market. It’s mainly an indoor/outdoor electric grill that should be on everyone’s shortlists who are looking for the best electric grill at this price.

Why We Like It – George Foreman Electric Grill GGR50B

George Foreman Grills are well known for their fantastic value for money proposition. And this George Foreman Electric Grill GGR50B doesn’t tarnish that reputation whatsoever. With this thing, you can get a gas grill’s worth of performance for pretty cheap.

Pros
  • Massive 240 square inches cooking surface
  • Adjustable temperature control probe
  • Removable grill stand and drip tray included
Cons
  • Nonstick coating on the grill plate & the grilling surface wears off pretty quickly

Power & Heating

This 12+ serving indoor/outdoor electric grill is capable of putting out up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit of temperature. Something like the Weber Q1400 will easily put it to shame, but you must consider the price difference. And from the adjustable temperature control probe, you can easily control the heat output.

Size & Versatility

Without the removable grill stand, this George Foreman indoor/outdoor grill is fairly portable overall. It’s not as lightweight as the Zojirushi Indoor Electric Grill; it’s almost three times more heavy. The whole thing is too big to enter inside a dishwasher, but still, an FYI, it is wholly made out of dishwasher-safe materials.

Durability

Everything but the nonstick coating on this George Foreman indoor/outdoor electric grill is exceptionally well made. The cooking surface does indeed have the same somewhat problematic non-stick coating, but it won’t easily get worn by dishwasher detergents.

Ease Of Use

Even though this device is ancient (almost 21 years old at this point), it’s still very easy to use. We don’t even see adjustable temperature controlling probes on grills pretty much at the same price nowadays. But once used, the grilling surface and the grill plate are tough to clean.

Value

Saying you would be hard-pressed to find something that can go toe to toe with the George Foreman indoor/outdoor grill at the same price would be an understatement. Yes, you can spend more and go for something like the Weber Q2400. But the value proposition of this indoor/outdoor grill is hard to beat.
