And, with such awesome features and the generous price tag, it’s no one wonder it’s one of the best computer monitors available.

Performance
Unlike the AOC Q2963PM 29 21:9 ultrawide monitor, you’ll find the performance of this Deco Gear monitor to be better than you would expect, given the screen size and the price. The monitor, which has a resolution of 3840 x 1200p, offers a response time of 4ms, a monitor refresh rate of 120Hz (try the Asus ROG PG279Q if you need a higher refresh rate), and is HDR 400 rated with a contrast ratio of 3000:1. It can save up to six different visual setting profiles and even supports FreeSync technology.
Just like in our review of the curved monitor FreeSync adaptive XG32VQ, it’s not the only monitor that supports AMD’s FreeSync tech. You’ll find many more curved monitors, one of which you can read about in our review of the BenQ 35 LED curved EX3501R.
Most monitors have a low response time, such as this one you’re reading about. But, the lower the response time, the better the games appear on your screen. That’s why it’s a good idea to check out other options, such as LG 27GL650F B 27 inch Full HD Ultragear G-Sync compatible gaming monitor.
Viewing Angle
This E LED monitor has a viewing angle of 178° (H)/178° (V), and can be tilted from -5° to 17°, so it should be pretty easy to see what’s happening on the screen while sitting at an optimal monitor viewing distance. Similar to the Dell 27-inch LED-lit monitor P2719H, although it’s not curved, it’s still just as sharp with its viewing angles.
The Deco Gear will provide a more immersive visual experience than a dual 24″ monitor setup, thanks to its curved single panel 43″ LED design. Unfortunately, Deco Gear did have to cut some corners to keep this monitor under $700, so the stand can only tilt; it lacks any swivel or vertical adjustment capabilities.
Although, as you’ll see in our write-up of the Dell U3419W, you’ll find the viewing angles more than sufficient, so tilting or swivel really isn’t necessary.
Durability
Much like the Asus ROG Strix XG438Q, this ultrawide monitor cannot be vertically adjusted. The simple stand doesn’t allow vertical adjustments or swivel, only tilt, but the metal design of the stand is sturdy enough so you won’t have to worry about the monitor toppling off your desk or tipping over. If you decide you don’t like the stand, you can also wall-mount this monitor). The monitor isn’t impact-resistant, but it does have a “bezel-less” design (which results in a bezel of around 1/4″).
Really want to talk about durability? The BenQ Zowie XL2411P 24 inch 144hz gaming monitor doesn’t only come encased in a metal shell, but the 24 in monitor also provides you with a 3-year warranty that can be extended. How’s that for durability and protection? If you learn how to maintain the monitor like knowing how to check CPU temp, then you’re on your way to having a long-lasting monitor.
Ports & Expandability
The DGVIEW430 has a few connection options, but it’s lacking some connections commonly found on other monitors (which is most likely due to Deco Gear cutting corners to keep the price low). The monitor has 3 HDMI ports, one Display Port, and a headphone jack, but that’s it – there’s no USB 2.0, USB 3.0, or USB-C ports to be found on the 43″ monitor. If you need to charge any devices via USB you will have to connect them to your computer rather than the monitor.
Value
Overall value and a low price were definitely on Deco Gear’s mind when they made this monitor. The entire 43″, ultrawide 120Hz LED gaming monitor only costs $699.99 (for comparison, the Alienware AW3420DW, which is a 34” 120Hz monitor, cost $999.99) It’s fairly obvious how they saved costs, as they didn’t bother to include a highly adjustable stand and excluded USB ports from the monitor. Still, with the price sitting low at about $700 (which includes free shipping), there isn’t really anything you can complain about.

Although the Deco Gear 43″ Curved Ultrawide E-LED Gaming Monitor isn’t breaking any records or providing some innovative new feature, it achieves what it was made for: offering a premium widescreen gaming experience offered for a reasonable price. We wish they had included a USB 3.0 port (or even a USB 2.0 port), but all things considered, these are small exclusions that don’t take away from the overall value that this monitor provides.
