ASUS makes some really good gaming monitors, and the ROG Swift with Nvidia G-Sync support is probably one of the best G-Sync monitors out there. This is an ultrawide monitor with HDR mode, local dimming, and a QHD resolution 35-inch VA curved panel. It offers 200Hz refresh rate and 2ms response time, which hardcore gamers will love. But how does it stack up against the best computer monitors?

Why We Like It – Asus Rog Swift PG35VQ

The ASUS ROG Swift is a curved display gaming monitor with a unique stand design and high-end features. The 35-inch panel has an ultra-wide QHD 1440p resolution, and is great for immersive gaming. It also features a super high refresh rate and response time, along with Nvidia G-Sync ultimate technology, which is a feature you’ll see in our review of the ROG Swift PG35VQ.

Pros
  • 21:9 widescreen curved VA panel
  • 200Hz refresh rate with Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate
  • 2ms response time
Cons
  • Cable management could’ve been better

Performance

The ASUS ROG Swift features a 35-inch curved display with a 3440 x 1440 pixels resolution. This ultra-wide resolution provides an immersive gaming experience with the perfect curve. The VA panel has a high refresh rate of 200 hertz and a 2ms gray-to-gray response time. Nvidia’s G-Sync Ultimate technology provides peak brightness of 1,000 nits, high contrast ratio, and the best HDR gaming performance. The Quantum dot technology delivers DCI-P3 90 percent color gamut for accurate colors. You can also try out the Asus ROG Swift PG27AQ 27″ 4K Monitor if curved displays aren’t your thing.

Design

The ROG Swift has the distinctive ASUS design that’s seen on other ROG products. The monitor features slim bezels and a thick chin that houses the logo and other details. ASUS has included its Aura sync lighting technology on the monitor, with one ROG logo at the back, and another projected logo below the stand base. The stand offers height, tilt, swivel adjustments, and an easy-to-use cable management system. It also gets quick access hotkeys at the rear right corner. The Acer Predator X34 34″ Curved Display is another good choice if you’re looking at purchasing a curved display.

Value

ASUS’s ROG Swift PG35VQ with its barrage of features is a treat for any hardcore gamer. The high-resolution 35-inch curved screen is great for gaming, and also for consuming HDR content. The high refresh rate and fast response time is ideal for fast-paced action multiplayer games. ASUS has also added a high-quality ESS 9118 headphone DAC with 24-bit /192Hz lossless audio playback. The monitor features 1 x DisplayPort, 1 x HDMI 2.0, 1 x USB 3.0 Type B, and 2 x USB 3.0 type A. The Acer Predator XB271HU 27-inch Display is a non-curved alternative.

Asus Rog Swift PG35VQ Wrap Up

With features such as Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate, QHD 1440p resolution, 200Hz refresh rate, 21:9 widescreen VA panel, and 2ms response time, you cannot go wrong with the ASUS ROG Swift PG35VQ. The monitor also comes with ambient lighting, multiple input options, and an ergonomic stand. However, ASUS could’ve included better cable management than what’s provided. Overall, this is an excellent gaming monitor.
