Speed

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-In-One Printer is a best inkjet printer and a best all in one printer. This is because of its amazing print speed of 22ppm for text pages, or if you prefer, 15.5ppm for an entire suite of documents, text and color pages combined. And because it can print color photos so quickly too we consider it, along with the Canon Pixma MG3620, to be one of the best printers for mac as well.

Print Quality

The text-page output is near perfect with the printer churning out highly legible and splotch-free pages down to the smallest font sizes. Printouts for Excel and PowerPoint slides are also excellent but sometimes have some banding when the backgrounds are dark green or black. This is a problem almost all printers have, so it’s unfair to critique them for that. Because of the printer’s excellent color printouts we consider it, along with the HP Designjet T120, a best printer for cardstock.

Efficiency

HP’s answer to saving you money on ink cartridges is their instant ink program. Without a subscription your running costs will be 2.2 cents per monochrome page and 8.8 cents for color. With a subscription, every page you print you cost 2.9 cents, monochrome or color. If you’re only using black ink and not doing any color printing feel free to skip a subscription. But if you are you should be looking into it. You can also check out the Brother Inkjet Printer MFC-J985DW for another printer with excellent running costs.

Advanced Features

Standard connectivity features include Wi fi, Ethernet, USB, and Wi-Fi Direct. Mobile connectivity options include Apple AirPrint, Mopria, and the HP Smart App. It also features support for a USB thumb drive via a port located on the left side of the chassis. You can also lock and password-protect the control panel and Embedded Web Server for extra security if you’ll be using the printer a lot around the office.

Value

There are still plenty of other useful features the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 has to offer. It comes with a 35-sheet auto-duplexing Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) so you can scan, copy, and fax two-sided pages without user intervention. You would be surprised how many printers don’t offer this feature. Finally, the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 possesses an impressive paper tray of 250 sheets.

HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 Wrap Up

It’s hard to find any fault with the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015. From its large paper tray to auto-duplexing to password-protected control panel, the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 is an All-In-One Printer suited for all occasions. Yes, it’s odd that an Instant Ink subscription will make text documents cost more. But if you only need it for text documents, there’s a simple solution. Don’t subscribe.
