Why We Like It – Viewsonic Elite XG270

When it comes to gaming today, competitors need the best monitor that can effectively use its graphics cards and give them the best reaction times, and that is where the Viewsonic Elite XG270 comes into play with ridiculously fast response times on top of a great refresh rate.

Pros
  • Dual Integrated Speakers make it more portable
  • Nvidia G Sync Compatibility eliminates screen tearing
  • n/a
Cons
  • Nvidia G Sync may need slight adjusting during gameplay

Performance

With a refresh rate of 240hz and a response time of 1ms, you have all you need to take the next win. It is g sync compatible, so graphics will be smooth during transitions. In addition to that, the PureXP blur reduction gives you more clarity even with faster moving scenes. It is a 27” inch full HD IPS technology screen with a 1080p resolution. If you want your next monitor to be compatible with g sync technologies, another great choice may be the Acer predator XB272.

Viewing angle

The IPS panel type of screen on these gaming monitors give you better viewing angles and display quality than other panel types. The viewing angle on this monitor is 178 degrees both vertically and horizontally. The Blur Busters features will eliminate most motion blur during the games. It has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 120,000,000:1. If you want to find a monitor with a larger display, you may be interested in the Asus XG248Q.

Durability

As with most high end monitors today, they will last for a long time when not exposed to any significant physical harm. You can also add a protection plan just in case of any accidents. If you don’t go with the protection plan, you still have a manufacturer’s warranty in case of any defects.

Ports/expandability

There is a power for the power cable, an HDMI 2.0 port, a DisplayPort cable input, and 3 USB 3.0 ports on this monitor. If you are not yet satisfied with the specs on this monitor, another model that may catch your interest is the Alienware AW2518HF.

Value

While this monitor may be slightly more expensive than other competitors, they won’t give you as nearly an immersive gaming experience as the Viewsonic. The Viewsonic uses the g sync technology to smooth out the graphics for a clean transition and eliminates ghosting and screen tearing. The elite RGB lighting in the back of the monitor will bring nice visuals wherever you use it, you can attract your headphones in the back with the compatible mount, and sight shields will protect your vision all on a 27” IPS panel type screen display.

Viewsonic Elite XG270 Wrap Up

The Viewsonic Elite XG270 models may be a pricey investment, but after enjoying many of its features such as the 1ms gtg response time, 240hz refresh rate, on top of elite display controller enhancements like the lighting and mouse anchors. Unless you are looking for a larger screen size, this monitor will take care of you during your most intense matchups.
