For those who want to bring their Minecraft videos to the masses, the MSI Prestige Series is your choice of the best laptops for Minecraft. It has the power to play Minecraft, yes, but its CPU and True Color Technology make it a candidate for content creation, whether that’s art or video editing. You’re bringing work and fun onto one machine! Speaking of fun, that and more is what you can expect from the best gaming laptops on the market. Check them out!

Why We Like It – MSI Prestige Series

The MSI Prestige Series, with its 6-core i7 processor and GTX 1650, is a great choice for video editing their Minecraft gameplay on the same machine.

Pros
  • Specs well above recommended PC requirements
  • 6-core 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor
  • Great choice for content creation
Cons
  • HDMI port limited to 30Hz
  • Needs a little more storage

Performance & Battery

With a 10th Gen Intel Core processor such as the i7-10710U, paired with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max Q, you’ll have an excellent experience running Minecraft. Settings permitted, you’ll be sure to experience frames way over 100, with further adjustments via MSI Creator. For content creators, you’ll enjoy the 100% SRGB IPS level for improved color quality. And if you’re working long hours, don’t worry: the MSI Prestige Series has up to 16 hours of battery life. If a shorter battery life is not a deal breaker, check out our MSI Stealth GS65 review for a good alternative.

Ports, Expandability & Build Quality

Thin bezels cover an exceptionally colorful 15.6-inch screen, with the body comprised primarily of plastic. Along the sides are an SD card reader, Wi Fi, two Thunderbolt 3, USB C, two USB Type-A, Ethernet, audio jack, and HDMI. However, jacking into the HDMI will limit your refresh rate to 30Hz if outputting in 4K. It could use a bump in storage, just to match a similar performing Lenovo Legion Y530.

Value

You don’t need an expensive GeForce RTX to run Minecraft, so the simple fact that the MSI Prestige Series when with the GTX 1650 really helps your bottom dollar, unlike the expensive but powerful Asus ROG Strix Scar III. Instead, it’s fitted with a 10th Gen i7, a pretty beastly CPU that’s great for multitasking. It’s best suited as a content creator’s laptop for Minecraft, which the CPU supports. And it’s just $1049, an ideal price, unlike the Huawei MateBook X Pro Gaming Laptop.

MSI Prestige Series Wrap Up

To perfect the MSI Prestige Series, all it needs is a bit more storage. It would be a shame to waste the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 and 10th Gen Intel i7-10710U on just Minecraft. After all, this is more than capable of being your go-to for content creation. You’re paying a little extra for the better CPU, but it’s well worth the price.
