If you’re more concerned with multitasking, HP Envy X360 13 Gaming Laptops are the best 2 in 1 gaming laptops. Fitted with an AMD Ryzen 5-2500U, you’re getting 8 cores of processing bliss, making it a shoe-in as the one of the best gaming laptops for school, too. Just imagine the multitasking you can do, while still opening the door to gaming!

Why We Like It – HP Envy X360 13 Gaming

Combine gaming and work together with this 2-in-1 laptop, the HP Envy X360 13 Gaming Laptop, featuring a fast AMD Ryzen 5 for multitasking and a solid integrated GPU for some light gaming.

Pros
  • Fast, AMD Ryzen 5 has 8 cores
  • 2-in-1 design; has touch screen
  • Integrated GPU can play popular titles
Cons
  • 128GB SSD is very small
  • Only 8GB of RAM

Power & Performance

So what does a Ryzen 5-2500U and its integrated GPU look like in action? Despite being integrated, the AMD Radeon Vega 8 can run games like Fortnite, Valorant, Minecraft, and even League of Legends. Some slight tweaking to the settings and you can easily achieve 30-60fps. More important, having 8 cores is an excellent option for multitasking. If gaming is integral to you, then both the ASUS ZenBook Gaming Laptop and Acer Nitro 5 Spin are excellent options. Are you looking for a 17-inch gaming laptop with 144Hz anti-glare G-Sync display? Battery, Ports & Expandability

Battery life extends to about 11 hours. Whether you’re gaming, doing work, or surfing the web, that’s a great rating. Ports are also pulled to the modern age, featuring touchscreen, USB 3.1, 3.0, USB C port, and an SD card reader. Unfortunately, its RAM cannot be expanded past 8GB, though external storage is always an option.

Build Quality

The HP Envy X360 13 Gaming Laptop features an anodised all-aluminium chassis. It’s exceptionally sturdy, with hardly any bend unless you’re really trying to break it. Who would try that? So in regular use, it isn’t flexing whatsoever. Screen size is a comfortable, albeit small 13.3-inches, displaying a resolution of 1080p (1920×1080). For a 15-inch FHD anti-glare 240Hz display with 32GB memory, see our Gigabyte Aorus laptop review.

Value

Despite small storage and lack of RAM expansion, is the HP Envy X360 13 Gaming Laptop HP worth considering? Most certainly! Having 8GB is still standard, and most of the games you can run won’t use the entire 8GB. Also, having a USB Type C and other amenities is simply too good to pass on. And plus, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 Gaming Laptop is a bit overpriced.

HP Envy X360 13 Gaming Wrap Up

The HP Envy X360 13 Gaming Laptop is anything but slow, not with the AMD Ryzen 5 under the hood and offering great multitasking possibilities. Its integrated GPU isn’t half-bad either; you’ll still have access to popular titles like Fortnite and League of Legends. Pick up external storage and its small SSD won’t be an issue.
