Having discrete graphics like the NVIDIA GeForce GT940M, 16GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i5-6300HQ will run Roblox surprisingly well on low to medium settings. With those kinds of specs, the laptop is above the recommended PC requirements by a comfortable margin, with the added ability to branch out to more graphically intensive game modes. This is largely thanks to its GPU having 2GB of VRAM. On a single charge, you’ll get to enjoy those games for about 4 hours. That’s not good, nor is bad, but average at best. Ports, Expandability & Build Quality
There’s a lot of storage space under the hood, a single 1TB HDD and a single 128GB SSD for the Windows operating system booting. Startup will be faster than a traditional, mechanical HDD. Both RAM and storage are expandable, though not by much. You get an average number of ports: two USB 3.0, a single USB 2.0, HDMI, LAN, SD card reader, and an audio jack. Value
It would be an understatement to say the Lenovo Ideapad 700 can run Roblox without an issue; in fact, it’s overkill. The GT940M graphics card and Intel Core i5 are far above the recommended requirements. But is it worth spending $999 for just Roblox? If your intentions are to get your child a well-rounded laptop with plenty of gaming options, then yes it is. If Roblox is the main reason, then save yourself some money and buy a Lenovo L340 i5.
