If you want to find one of the top 1080p gaming monitors with amazing portability, the KYY Portable Monitor is the perfect choice for you. It is a 15.6” inch monitor that you can take anywhere you want and enjoy your content whether it be from your phone, console, or laptop. Speaking of the perfect choice, check out our list of the best computer monitors around. You will surely find something you like.

Why We Like It – KYY Portable Monitor

The KYY Portable Monitor is the optimal choice for any gamer or worker on the road. With this monitor, you can connect your next gen consoles and enjoy them while on the go. It features an all metal design that is bound to survive a couple of dings here and there.

Pros
  • The USB type C allows you to connect your favorite consoles
  • Low blue light lessens eye fatigue
Cons
  • Does not provide a high refresh rate

Performance

Regardless of the small size of this monitor, it is still stacked with a max resolution of 1920×1080. It’s still a great resolution option even if it’s not 4K. If you’re a beginner to resolution specs such as 4K, check out our guide that explains what a 4K monitor is. On this model, you can turn up the realism in the game and go HDR mode as well. While watching your content, you can enjoy the audio from the internal speakers or use the audio jack for your headphones. Since it is a portable monitor, it has a refresh rate of 60Hz, so if you would rather invest in something with a higher refresh rate, a better suggestion would be the LG 27GL650F-B 27 Inch Full HD Ultragear G-Sync Compatible Gaming Monitor.

Viewing angle

While the actual viewing may not be the best if you are slightly further away from the monitor, the KYY device uses an IPS panel type of display which is bound to give you some of the best viewing angles. You are free to choose whether you want to use the monitor laying down or standing up by adjusting the smart cover to your needs. If you aren’t feeling as hot about this portable monitor, and would rather invest in a bigger display, then a better choice for you may be the Sceptre C326B-185RD.

Durability

The KYY portable monitor is made from an all-metal design, so it will definitely hold up to some dings and drops that you or others may cause. The smart cover case is also scratch-resistant, so your investment will stay looking nice and new. For all other issues, you should definitely look into a protection plan to elongate your device’s life.

Durability is a must among portable devices. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the HAIWAY 10.1-inch security monitor. It’s incredibly light to tote around, but its casing is made of cheap plastic.

Ports/expandability

To connect other devices, the KYY monitor has 2 USB C ports which may double up as a charger. There is a Mini HDMI port that can help you connect to a PC and extend your view to two screens. You can expand the view from your PC and help yourself multitask since you have more room available. KYY went above and beyond and included most of the cables that you are able to use on the device.

Value

Right now if you decide to go with this KYY model, you can take advantage of free shipping even without Amazon Prime. Even at its small size, this monitor is still capable of bringing you a rapid response time that can put you in the winner’s circle. Ghosting and low motion blur will also be taken care of so you can enjoy a vivid experience. If you are not satisfied with this device at this point, it may be time to look at some alternatives like the Asus VG278QR 27” gaming monitor.

KYY Portable Monitor Wrap Up

The KYY Portable Monitor is a great choice to go with if you find yourself on the road often. The all-metal design is bound to sustain some damage, while you are able to connect some of your favorite consoles or phone through the USB C ports. While it may have an average refresh rate of 60Hz, it is still enough to provide a crisp experience with accurate colors and great viewing angles while you are out and about.
