The UberScoot 1600W scoots its way into the best electric scooter for climbing hills, thanks to 1600W of motor power and torque. It can also handle 265 lbs, making it a shoo-in for the best electric scooter for heavy adults. And with its 11-inch knobby tires, it can also provide a service as the best off-road electric scooter, or maybe one of the best electric scooters in general.

Why We Like It – UberScoot 1600W

With 1600W of motor power, the UberScoot 1600W is packing serious punch and torque. And with knobby on-road/off-road tires, you get to enjoy the best of both worlds. For a less costly option, you need to skim through our Uberscoot 1000w electric scooter review.

Pros
  • 1600W brushless motor
  • Quick release seating; comfortable cushion
  • Can reach 30mph
Cons
  • Speed limit wire has to be disconnected
  • 12 miles on a single charge

Performance

You can do a lot with a 1600W brushless motor, and the UberScoot 1600W takes advantage of it. Maxing out at 30mph, you’ll be zipping through the streets, and outclassing the Glion Dolly Foldable Lightweight Adult Electric Scooter. There’s even enough torque to pull off wheelies—provided you have the skill. However, to reach max speeds, you have to remove the speed limit wire.

Safety

The UberScoot 1600W goes a step further than cheaper electric scooters by implementing a dual-brake system. There’s a disc brake in both the front and rear wheel, providing much better and more confident stopping power. You also get a fairly large and bright headlamp for some nighttime riding.

Battery Life

Battery life could be better. Underneath the hood are 4 12V/12Ah batteries (48V system), which only provides 12 miles per charge. You can stretch battery life via economy mode—it slows acceleration and limits your top speed—but even then you’ll only get a few miles extra. The NanRobot D5+ can hit 50 miles on a single charge.

Durability

UberScoot Powerboards (formerly Evo Powerboards) continues their tradition of high quality durability, seen through the large tires. They’re large, 11-inch knobby tires that are designed for both on-road and off-road, and they do so fantastically. Max load is upwards of 265 lbs, which supports many larger riders as well.

Value

It’s surprising to see such a powerful machine be affordably priced. Given how well it runs and its overall design, we think $759 is the perfect price, and gets our seal of approval. Even what others consider the “best electric scooters” in their scooter reviews, they come nowhere close to the UberScoot 1600W in terms of performance per dollar. For twice the price, you can nab a NanRobot D4+. It has extra power and mph.

UberScoot 1600W Wrap Up

The UberScoot 1600W is a great scooter, despite its lackluster battery. The kind of power it provides certainly needs one. But in that relatively short window, you’re zipping around at 30mph on a comfortable seat, with 1600W of motor power backing you. And it’s only $759, which is priced beautifully.
