To Review Razor Electric Scooters is to review why they make one of the best electric scooter with seat, because it’s removable, and the best electric scooter for adults street legal, because of the heavy-duty and safe pneumatic tires. We would have loved to consider it the best folding electric scooter as well, but the Razor E300 and E300S aren’t foldable. But this foldable model may be one of the best-selling electric scooters in general.

Why We Like It – Razor E300S Seated Electric Scooter

The Razor E300S Seated Electric Scooter is similar to the Razor E300 Electric Scooter, just with a removable seat. It boasts a 15 MPH top speed and can travel about 10 miles, or 40 minutes, on a single charge. The rear-brake is also fantastic and can stop you on a dime if need be.

Pros
  • Chain-Driven Motor
  • 10” Pneumatic Tires
  • All-Steel Construction
Cons
  • 12 Hour Charge Time
  • A Little on the Heavy Side

Performance

The Razor E300S Electric Scooter sports a maximum speed of 15 miles per hour, which isn’t the fastest we’ve seen but is still on the high end of scooters. It’s one of the reasons we consider it a best electric moped. But if you would like something faster, you should read our Razor Eco Smart Metro Electric Scooter review. The engine is high torque, chain driven motor which not only makes it akin to a bicycle with a motor, but also makes it easier to replace or repair any internal parts too if need be.

Safety

The Electric Scooter Razor features a rear-brake as its preferred braking system of choice, This is good because if you need to come to a sudden stop, you won’t go flying off the front handlebars. The scooter also contains extra wide 10-inch pneumatic tires, which helps to grip the road and provide a smoother riding experience. Being air-filled tires, they are also more resilient to any bumps you may face in your travels. But if you feel safer on a kick scooter for whatever reason, check out the Hiboy S2, or just remove the seat!

Battery Life

Razor Scooters Electric comes with a maximum range of about 10 miles, or about 40 minutes of continuous use. This is wholly average for scooters in its class, but you can check out the SKRT Electric Scooter if you’d like something that can travel a little farther. Where the E300S’s battery system is lacking is with the outrageously long 12 hours of charge time. A charge time this long for only 40 minutes of ride isn’t a fair trade.

Durability

This is a Razor scooter, so you can expect the build quality to be among the best in the business. The all-steel frame and fork make for a durable scooter that can take a bump and hit back with a vengeance. The weight limit is a standard 220 pounds, which makes it great for adults and kids alike. The only downside is that the scooter is a little heavy at 52 pounds. But with durable construction, that’s basically a given.

Value

The Razor E300S has a 90-day warranty. This isn’t a bad thing, any and all warranties are always welcome when it comes to scooters, but most other ones have a six-month warranty with some even going up to two years. Whether Razor is skimping on their warranty or just feels confident in their product is a decision we’ll leave for you. However, reviews on Razor’s customer reviews have, so far, been excellent, so you have that to look forward to if you do have issues.

Razor E300S Seated Electric Scooter Review Wrap Up

With a durable all-steel construction, safe and chunky tires, and an easily fixable (if need be) chain-driven motor, it’s easy to see why Razor, and their E300S Seated Electric Scooter, are at the top of the game when it comes to electric scooters. Now if they could just fix that 12 hour charge time, they can be a real force to be reckoned with (not that they aren’t already).
