Design
The design of the Sceptre E255B-1658A is simple, but effective. It has ultra-thin bezels, but it isn’t borderless, which opens up the option for multi-display setups. The best design choice was the sturdy stand made of metal rather than hard plastic. However, it’s severely lacking in freedom of movement by only allowing tilting, unlike the Asus VG245H gaming monitor.
The Sceptre E255B-1658A does lack a decent set of speakers. They sound cheap and lacking in bass, giving it a tinny sound. This can be rectified with the audio-out port located in the back, along with two HDMI ports (one is 2.0, the other 1.4) and a single DisplayPort input.(1.2). It’s nearly on par with the Asus ROG PG279Q in terms of inputs.

As far as gaming monitors go, the Sceptre E255B-1658A isn’t a monitor to turn your nose at.
