If dirt hills are what your kids want to tackle, the best electric scooter for climbing hills might just be the Razor RX200 Electric Off-Road Scooter. It takes the classic design of the E200, fits it with off-road tires, disc brake, and a new gear ratio for even more torque and power. Speaking of torque and power, check out some of the best vehicles around.

Why We Like It – Razor RX200 Electric Off-Road Scooter

Taking the classic E200 and giving it off-road capabilities, the Razor RX200 Electric Off-Road Scooter is fitted with thick off-road tires with 60PSI, a disc brake, and a lot more torque for traveling along sketchy terrain.

Pros
  • More torque for sports outdoors use
  • Confident disc brake on rear wheel
  • Strong, durable alloy steel frame.
Cons
  • Run time of 40 minutes continuous use

Performance

The E200 already had a good amount of torque, but the trailblazing new RX200’s chain driven motor ramps it up a notch. When the pavement ends, that extra torque comes in handy for kicking up dirt and taking it off-road. It maxes out at 12mph, which is fast and safe for kids, but a far cry from the 40mph on the NanRobot D5+.

Safety

The Razor RX200 Electric Off-Road Scooter lacks any substantial safety features, other than a brake system and wide deck. However, unlike other Razor scooters, Razor RX200 Electric Scooters come with a confident disc brake. Also, the thick off-road tires with 60PSI really dig into rough terrain for better stability.

Battery Life

With a dual 12V battery system, your kids will get about an hour of play, 40 mins of continuous use, to be specific. That’s typical of Razor electric scooters, as is bundling a battery charger inside. Charging time is excruciatingly long at 12 hours, so pick up a hobby while you wait. Or, enjoy a nice refreshing ride in your car with an essential oil diffuser (like the one in our RoyAroma Essential Stainless Freshener review).

Durability

Like the E200, the Razor RX200 Electric Off-Road Scooter continues to be rugged and tough. Its frame is alloy steel, which is stronger and more durable than aluminum, like the Glion Dolly Foldable Lightweight Adult Electric Scooter uses.

Value

The E200 was already a really good electric scooter for kids, but the Razor RX200 Electric Off-Road Scooter adds a bit more power that’s much appreciated. Considering how well it performs off-road, and the low price of $238, we think it’s perfectly priced. This is especially true when compared to the incredibly expensive, $1500 NanRobot D4+.

Razor RX200 Electric Off-Road Scooter Wrap Up

The Razor RX200 Electric Off-Road Scooter adds that off-road fun the E200 didn’t have, while still being easily accessible, despite a rather subpar battery. Its confident disc brake compliments the amount of torque being pushed through. It’s still relatively speedy at 12mph, and incredibly durable. Your kids will love this ride—there’s no doubt about it!
