Method 1: Unpair from Your Smart Device

STEP 1

Go into your connected device’s settings. If you are on a PC or Mac, you should be able to search for settings or preferences through the search bar. Other smart devices have a gear icon representing their settings menu for you to click.

STEP 2

Find your Bluetooth settings. They may be under “Bluetooth” followed by “Devices.” This page shows all of the Bluetooth headphones, speakers, keyboards, or other products that you have connected to your smart device.

Select your wireless headphones. You should see a menu pop up on your screen. There may be several options here.

Choose “Forget device” or “Unpair device.” Once you confirm, your devices will no longer be paired.

Method 2: Pairing a Headset if It Has Disconnected from Bluetooth

STEP 1

Find the button on your headphones to connect to your Bluetooth device. Usually, this button is on the bottom of the right earcup, but the location varies depending on the manufacturer and model. If you can only find one button option, press and hold it to see if the headset enters pairing mode. Some brands use a switch, but this switch typically has the Bluetooth symbol printed on it or near it.

STEP 2

On your desired Bluetooth compatible device, enter the settings menu by searching for either the gear icon or typing “settings” in the search bar. This is also where you would change things such as display brightness, background, and users.

STEP 3

Click on Bluetooth settings and enter pairing mode on your device. You may have to click through the Bluetooth menu to get to pairing mode. You may also see the list immediately after selecting Bluetooth.

STEP 4

Select your device. If it prompts you for a pairing code and you didn’t set one up, try entering “0000,” as this is the default code for some Bluetooth headphones. Look on the manufacturer’s website for your model’s specific code if that doesn’t work.
