Performance

This Alienware monitor has superb performance and is ideal for gamers wanting a combination of speed and performance. It has a 25-inch screen and the TN panel displays in 1920 x1080 resolution. Where it shines is the response time of just 1 m/s, which reduces input lag. The refresh rate of 240Hz combines well with the G-Sync hardware and software to bring out the best in games. If you need a G-Sync screen with a higher resolution the Asus ROG PG27AQ is a great alternative.

Design

The Alienware AW2518H is one of the best-looking curved gaming monitors out there. The stand and neck are all about straight lines and angles, and the two-tone grey and black effect really makes it stand out. The rear has subtle Alienware badging, and tasteful, customizable RGB lighting. To complete the look it has slim bezels that are ideal for a multi-screen display. It comes with the usual ports including one HDMI port, one DisplayPort, four USB ports, and audio out and headphone jack. If you’d prefer a curved screen, the Acer Predator X34 is worth checking out.

Value

There are many rival monitors in this price range, many of which have a larger screen size such as the Acer Predator XB271HU. However, the Alienware AW2518H still holds its ground because of its superior refresh rate and quick response time. G-Sync tends to push the price up, but it’s worth it for the fantastic performance. This monitor can also justify its price because it oozes class and looks very different from everything else on the market. It’s worth getting if you want something different for your gaming experience.
