Why We Like It – UmiDigi X

Few budget phones can boast what the UmiDigi X boasts. For this reason, the UmiDigiX Smartphone seems to be the budget phone to end budget phones. Many of the features found in the UMiDigi X, features to do with the screen, processor, and camera, for example, can be found in many higher-end phones too. The difference? The UmiDigi phone is only $220.00

Pros
  • MediaTek Helio P60 processor
  • Dual Sim Card Network
  • AMOLED Screen
Cons
  • No Wireless Charging
  • Plastic Body

Performance

The tremendous 4150 mAH battery gives the phone a ton of battery life. If battery life is the be all, end all for your decisions, the Samsung Galaxy A70’s battery life is also superb. The x comes with a triple camera rear setup which includes a 48MP main camera, which is outstanding for a budget phone, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 120° wide-angle and 5MP depth camera. The 16MP selfie camera is an achievement too. Throttling the octa-core engine is the MediaTek Helio P60 processor that boasts optimized power consumption while producing less heat.

Design

The phone features a 6.35” AMOLED display which gives a full screen resolution of 720×1548 pixels. It comes in the colour black and the colour blue. The dual sim card network consists of Nano-SIM + Nano-SIM/microSD. The Razer Phone 2 supports MicroSD cards up to 2 TB, if gaming is what you use your phone for. the front camera has f/2.0 aperture with face-recognition technology and, out of the box, runs on an Android 9 operating system that can be upgraded. One downside with the UMiDigi X is there’s no wireless charging.

Value

One of the best things about the UMiDigiX Smartphone was the inclusion of an in-display fingerprint sensor. In-screen fingerprint technology is normally reserved for premium and flagship phones–your Apples and your Samsungs–but not anymore. This technology can now become standard on all mobile phones. If you’re into seeing budget phones boasting premium phone features, the BLU G9 Pro’s worthy of consideration too. To top it off, the UMiDigi X has a 5G Wi-Fi signal & Wi-Fi direct and supports Wi-Fi display

UmiDigi X Wrap Up

As if the triple rear camera and the MediaTek P60 processor weren’t enough, UMiDigi decided to go further and incorporate a fingerprint sensor too. At only $220.00 this phone is a steal. The plastic body and no wireless charging are disappointing but consider what else you’re getting instead of those. And at such a low price, it’s hard to argue against it.
