Performance
The battery life on the P30 Pro is exceptional. The phone can comfortably last a day and a half and even more if you limit your usage to the essentials. The Samsung Galaxy A70 would be a comparable phone with a long-lasting battery. You can slide the camera up to 50x digital zoom, 5x optical zoom, and a 10x hybrid optical and digital zoom, and switching to night mode lets you shoot well-lit night-time pictures in low-light of the highest quality. Design
The P30 Pro Camera is on the rear of the phone. You’ll find a quad-camera set-up of a 40MP main sensor, 8MP telephoto camera, 20MP ultra wide-angle lens and ToF (time-of-flight) depth-sensing camera. The UmiDigi X is a budget phone with an astonishing camera if you want something cheaper. The P30 Pro is a little thicker than the Galaxy S10 Plus yet somehow feels thinner, and the 6.47” OLED display with 1080 x 2340 resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 398ppi pixel density is gorgeous. Value
The P30 Pro is still one of the more expensive phones on the market. About as expensive as the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus but cheaper than the iPhone XS Max. However, the S10 Plus and the XS Max still perform slightly better when watching 4K video. And although Huawei comes with their own apps, like email, Google’s are just easier to use and can be downloaded from Google Play. The BLU G9 Pro has an incredible processor that can easily rival any of these companies, if a slightly cheaper phone is more your style. Carried over from the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is reverse wireless charging, allowing you to charge other Qi wireless charging supported devices on the rear of the P30 Pro. The feature Huawei is marketing the phone around is the camera. Smart, because it has one the best cameras around. As far as camera phones go, it’s excellent. Overall, the Huawei P30 Pro has all the features you want from a flagship phone including an in-display fingerprint sensor. It’s nice to see a company not backing down from Google, Samsung, or Apple.
