The Galaxy A70 flaunts high-end features at low end, $325.00, prices and can easily be considered a best smartphone. Why We Like It – Samsung Galaxy A70
The Samsung Galaxy A70 is Samsung’s budget phone for those who want most of the features of their signature Samsung Galaxy phones without having to pay flagship phone prices. The same could be said for the Blackberry reviewed in our Blackberry Z10 review (Verizon). Not the cheapest budget phone, to be sure, but the Galaxy A70 comes with a hefty amount of high-end features that will satisfy anyone’s itch.

Performance
The 4,500mAH gives the A70 Samsung huge battery life and supports 25W fast charging. It runs Android 9.0 Pie based OneUI 1.1, the same one that comes with phones the galaxy s10, and makes one finger use easy. The three rear cameras consist of a main 32MP (f/1.7) snapper, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide angle camera with 123-degree lens and a 5MP (f/2.2) depth camera. The camera, however, has difficulty focusing on a particular object at night and ultra-wide mode sometimes lacks peripheral details. The UMiDigi X is a budget phone that features an incredible camera, if cameras are make-or-break decisions for you.

Design
The A70 has a 6.7” screen with a Super AMOLED display and Full HD which gives optimum viewing experiences. The screen has a u-shaped cut-out for the selfie camera housing which gives a 20:9 aspect ratio and the front camera, depending on your settings in the camera app, will vary between 32MP image to a pixel-binned 8MP shot. Unfortunately, the on-screen fingerprint sensor isn’t as fast as a physical sensor and can take a long time to register a print. The BLU G9 Pro is a budget phone that boasts many of the design features of the A70, but is slightly less expensive.
Value
The value of the A70 stems from the fact that Samsung has made a great number of improvements in comparison to the A70’s predecessor, the Galaxy A50. While the Galaxy A50 was designed strictly as a budget phone, not intending to be matched up with flagship phones, the Samsung Galaxy A70 doesn’t mind getting in the ring with more premium phones. The support for Samsung Pay is a nice additional feature, but at this point all Samsung products have support for it. If you’re looking for something a little more than just stacking up against bigger phones, the Razer Phone 2 can hold its own while playing mobile games too. There’s a reason why it’s the gamers choice for phones.

The Samsung Galaxy A70 takes almost everything you love about the flagship Samsung Galaxy series and re-packages it into an inexpensive alternative. You’ll have to give some things up, like a fast in-display fingerprint sensor or a not-so-finicky night camera, but are these things really worth paying another $600 for?
