For most gamers looking for the best 1440p monitor, a solid 27-inch screen is perfect for playing, and the Samsung 27 inch curved monitor LC27JG56QQNXZA does not disappoint. Curved gaming monitors allow gamers to get the best view and experience and with this 2560 x 1440 resolution, this screen provides just that. And with a special game mode, users can experience an impressive VA panel technology that has a contrast ratio of 3000:1, therefore displays vivid colors, deeper blocks, and provides brighter whites. Get all the things you’d expect to find from the best computer monitors.

Why We Like It – Samsung 27 Inch Curved Monitor LC27JG56QQNXZA

Excellent resolution and a rapid refresh rate make this Samsung 27 inch curved monitor LC27JG56QQNXZA flawlessly smooth. AMD FreeSync and a low input lag mode reduce image tear and stutter. For the average to the professional gamer, this monitor should definitely be on the radar. And, so should the Razor Raptor 27, since it’s just as impressive.

Pros
  • Curved screen
  • No backlight bleed
  • Thin bezels
Cons
  • Flimsy stand

Performance

The built-in gaming-focused features surely enhance your experience. The 144Hz refresh rate and quick response time allow for fast color changing and whites and blacks to look contained and sharp. The 1800R curve display puts your game and character right in the middle of the action. Like the Viotek GN24CB Curved 1440p Monitor, this screen really pops with a high static contrast ratio and there is virtually no lagging. As for the multimedia display, the monitor performs just fine. Movies, TV, all look as if they are in high definition and there are no issues with extra dark or bright screens.

Although this curved monitor delivers in quality, the price might be too much. In that case, you might like the Samsung UE590 4K gaming monitor, so check out that review, too.

Design

The Samsung 27 inch curved monitor LC27JG56QQNXZA dark silver frame is sleek looking, with connectivity options like HDMI 1.4, HDMI 2.0, display port 1.2, and a headphone jack. The base is unfortunately tilt-only, but it’s VESA mount compatible, so that can be altered. Much like you’ll see in our review of the Dell 27-inch LED-lit monitor S2719DGF review, the screen is not overwhelming and can fit nicely on a home office desk or table. It’s lightweight, which allows for maneuverability and travel. The frameless display allows for the picture to almost disappear at the edges, while the curved screen gives the monitor a futuristic look. There is a wall mount option for those who don’t want their view option to change.

Value

When it comes to the price, you’re going to get more than what you pay for. The refresh rate is solid and the low input lag is perfect for gaming. When you compare this monitor to the prices of others in its class, you were going to get a deal no matter what. Sure, the stand has a slightly cheap feel to it, but it makes up for it with its style. Add in the fact that you get free shipping, you can’t help but feel you are getting a well above average screen for the price of something on the higher end, much like the Dell 27 inch LED lit Monitor S2719DGF or the Dell U3419W. Not much movement when it comes to adding on enhancement technologies, but you’ll still be pleased with what you got.

Samsung 27 Inch Curved Monitor LC27JG56QQNXZA Wrap Up

When it’s all said and done the Samsung 27 inch curved monitor LC27JG56QQNXZA is a more than decent monitor to buy. The response time is impressively fast, there is very little input lag, and it’s perfect for a better-than-average gaming monitor. The full HD resolution is impressive and the rapid refresh rate provides for optimized gaming performance. The AMD FreeSync synchronizes the refresh rate of your graphics card to reduce tear and stutter. And that is what will put smiles on any gamer’s face. The curved screen is a nice viewing angle perk and although the stand is a bit on the shaky side, you’re still going to be happy with this monitor.
